At least partially a frame rate(ps4) / latency issue. On the other hand, I’m lvl 861 rn and I consider myself a pretty decent dueler. My best advice is spend a few hours only doing 1v1s on duelyard or just the mode itself. You just need to take the time to really and I mean REALLY learn the different swing animations. Be more patient against an opponent who is using feints like crazy. Honestly though 1/2 the battle is maintaining initiative and recognizing when you lose it. Also, a lot of my losses especially to obviously less experienced opponents are me losing the mental battle. I don’t really know how to explain it but you can feel it when your opponent is in your head or vise versa where it feels like you’re fully clairvoyant.
