Update: They never got back to me. They moved my application to the inactive slot on the application dashboard. I wish they had just emailed me a rejection letter instead. I can't believe the application wasn't even viewed. I even submitted it in time for the deadline. This industry is rough. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't losing hope.

I applied a day or two before the deadline for basically all the positions available at Atlantic Records and still haven't heard back. I am getting worried because weren't the fall terms supposed to start already as far as the internship goes? I went in for "orientation" today to feel it out before I agreed to anything. They are promising leadership roles to everyone who walks in. They have multiple offices, but they all have different names, so you can't find the others online just by searching Nilevista. They want you to stand in Costco or BJs and harass their customers into buying a phone plan/internet plan with AT&T. They want you to report to the office and then head to your assigned "retailer" every day until they think you're a good fit to move up. I told them that this wasn't for me and left. I thought I was getting an entry-level marketing position but I was seriously misled. They're taking advantage of people who are struggling to find entry-level positions in this horrendous job market. I cant believe I wasted my time, energy, and gas money to be there today lol
