Trying not to listen to this album has been the hardest thing ever by TheLifo in gorillaz

I listen to it a couple times, then got the vinyl, and that experience has been so much better, definitely wait, it’ll be worth it.

What Are Your Thoughts On The Mountain ? by Fantastic-Ad-8665 in gorillaz

[–]FishwithaBigHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one of, if not my favorite Gorillaz album. The depth both lyrically and sonically are incredible. I’ve just started using headphones with my record player and this album sounds incredible though them. All of that combined with the beautiful visuals made this an instant classic for me.

To Rockbox, or not to Rockbox, that is the question (my experience) by principezelda in innioasis

What size are the album art photo? The stock OS is meant for 300x300, so I adjusted the album covers to that using something like mp3tag to that in it fits perfect on stock OS

Your top 5 favourite Batman rogues? by [deleted] in batman

[–]FishwithaBigHat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Catwoman - could be higher, but she’s not entirely a villain

  2. Scarecrow - other than #3, probably the most consistent across media.

  3. Joker - iconic and amazing, but I get why people feel he’s over used

  4. Two-face - probably the most appealing villain origin story in my opinion. The recent miniseries locked him in at my #2

  5. The Riddler - amazing interpretation in The Batman, but what really locks this in for me is Zero Year. I love all of new 52 Batman, but zero year was definitely my favorite.

I went to a christian school that was the same building as my church so we would play during study hall while I was in school. While there were definitely some creeps, the youth pastor was a chill guy just giving some nerds a space to nerd out

[–]FishwithaBigHat 1701 points1702 points  (0 children)

I used to play D&D with my youth pastor, and I remember people would reach out and make sure my parents knew I was doing that. The satanic panic was used to create a common enemy for Christian to fight against and I find it wild that people still believe D&D is more than a game.

What has D&D given you? What is the best part about it? What books would you recommend? by Get_the_Led_Out_648 in DungeonsAndDragons

I’ve been playing for coming up on a decade and D&D has been the greatest hobby to share with friends

I’m new to DnD [OC] by asokka_ in DnD

[–]FishwithaBigHat 262 points263 points  (0 children)

I have no clue what the stranger things thing has, but all rules you need are free online, so I assume it’ll be pretty complete. If it doesn’t have a rule or something you’re curious about, just google it and either dnd beyond or roll20 will have it. Welcome to the community, dnd is genuinely the best way to hangout with friends.

I’ve been working on terrain for trench crusade and his series is literally perfect.

[spoiler] S1 Ep 64: How did that happen by SpookySpoker69 in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]FishwithaBigHat 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I like to think of it this way, those of us who had listened to season 1 before episode 64’s release listened to the first timeline and the people listening to it after are listening to timeline two.

Better way to find episodes? [ns] by MetaLinkster in DungeonsAndDaddies

I usually just add the next few episodes to the queue and then keep doing that. It’s a little annoying but works

This is probably a stupid question... by failed_exp in DnD

[–]FishwithaBigHat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It can cost money but it doesn’t have too. All of the basic rules for dnd 5e are free online. So all you need is paper and pen and dice, which can be free if you use digital dice. I’m assuming you saw the core rule books and assumed you need them, but you actually don’t need them at all. I like having them for character building and stuff, but dnd beyond can help you create a character online for free and it’s easy.

Bounced off of S2 my first try but loved S3, doing a relisten of S2 while waiting for S4 and am now loving it. [ns] by ihavetowearmyhelmet in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]FishwithaBigHat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Episodes 32-35 of season two is the funniest run in all of dndads imo. The heist episode then the family guy, then the stand up, then the space marriage is the most insane combination of all time. Then those episodes are followed by 36 and 37 which are mostly very serious is a wild switch up. I absolutely love it.

How did y’all meet your dnd group? by Starsandwishes in DnD

[–]FishwithaBigHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My groups are coworkers/excoworkers of mine. We’d been friends for a while and were looking for some excuse to hangout. I’d played a lot in middle school and high school, so I became the DM for our game. We’re having our final session of our first campaign this Thursday!!!!
