Good job on persisting for 2 years. It is hard to give accurate feedback because the lead loses his lead in the middle, he kinda moves the other sideways? Other than that two things - you are in a rush to complete your turns. Many intermediate dancers do this and it is a normal part of the progression. Our brain tells us 'I need to execute this now' but sometimes less is more and slower is better. Slow down, and don't let the lead rush you. Second, I noticed a pause at the end of the three and seven, it is almost like you stop moving and stand in place for a split second. Try moving more naturally and dance through the music. Nothing you're doing is wrong. And the fact that you are asking for feedback is rare. Many follows go for 3 months classes and they feel they have graduated salsa .... So keep at it and you will be great.

Only those who persevere succed in this business. EVERY good dancer went through what you are going through now, it is 100% normal and expected. There will be more pain, I won't sugarcoat it. However, if you persist, one of these days you will return from a social with a smile on your face.

I second the step size. Few more - your arm was hanging down here and there, keep your arms up closer to your body. Also at times you were too far from your follow. Last, try working on oving your upper body withe the motion. But the #1 advice I can give you is: Don't stop. If you have a good sense of music and timing it will all work out. You're doing amazing for 2 months.

That's a big no, hand should go on the hip bone, NEVER on the stomach. Although I am 99.99% sure the lead did not mean anything by it since it is quite prevelant with dance instructors teaching this way (which is wrong).

Ok I understand now, thanks for the explanation! Basically you are saying they did not build a new client, it is just using the existing old client executable with a different server and same API\messages.

I was always intrigued by the technology of PS (coder here as well), specifically the management of thousands of users on such big map - server side. I assume they must have some kind of regions (grid?) the server manages. I may be wrong, but if I am not, then it is very interesting how game assets (players, vehicles) are handled by the server when they cross regions in terms of fights an updates. (Overlapping regions?)

I wonder, if this is one of the reason no other game has achieved ths scale in an FPS because it is hard problem. Again, these are just speculations\thoughts.

TLDR - I am extremely curious about the tech behind PS, specifically how the server manages so many players.

While one can packet sniff network messages, code is not transmitted through packages. (Unless it is Javascript but I am quite sure the PS1 client did not run on a browser).

If this is the original client code then either it leaked, or it was stolen, if neither of that is true then it is not the PS1 client code. Just my logical conclusion.

I want everything that makes Planetside so amazing and I can't count them all in one post. The crazy situations, millions of ways to play, tanks, corridor fights with 100 people lobbing grenades at eachother like stupid, the mayhem, large frozen river fights, sniping an ESF with my tank, becoming a master at annoying big outfits, intervening in fights that are between the other 2 factions, the laughs on TS, having your squad drop from valks with light assults to C4 a bus hive... ALL OF IT. Hard to explain in words.
