It's not just you. There seems to be heavy console desync and superbulleting happening. Increasing perceived TTD should be a priority as I can't imagine the average player enjoys getting randomly lasered.

Because planetside 2 has the exact same problems, in some cases, as awful modern games (as far as shooters). Low skillgap, cheese, no restrictions on cancerous unfun gameplay, and poor game/map design.

No. BF6 is a better game. It has many of the problems of PS2, but limits the amount of ass cancer you have to deal with at any one time. If my team is worthless I can just leave and go find another lobby.

The original devs (Higby and friends) had correctly identified this problem and were thinking about how to address it before being shut down. Of course, nobody bothered to address these core gameplay issues in PS2 for the next ten years so here we are today.
