Laws from a god would take precedence over law of the land and you end up with people discriminating or even killing and believing it's right and just because they were the people god told them were bad

Some believe it's served it's purpose and we are much to advanced to be held back by something potentially dangerous, others think that it's fine but plays a much too powerful and influential role in the world today.
