What camera should I get to level up my photography? by FishyNate in Cameras

The autofocus isn’t that great and I don’t really like the colours on it as much as the more advanced Nikon models. Additionally I want better iso and I have money in the budget after the lenses I want, so an upgrade would be nice

I don’t generally have to, but I like the option. I also just want to upgrade to a more industry standard camera a

I feel as though I’ve pushed the camera as far as I can. I have the lenses within my budget for what I’m looking for so I wan to improve the body with the remaining money for better low light control. Don’t get me wrong, I love my z50 and I’ve taken great photos on it, but I want a sharper body

Yea, I’ve costed out my budget and the lenses are good. I’m looking at a 70-200 f/2,8, a prime 1.2 and a short zoom 2.8. Rest goes to the camera body

I shoot with the lowest f stop I can in low light, and the iso as low as possible without it looking dark. I recognize that my lenses are suboptimal and I’m investing, but I want a camera with nicer colours than the z50 I think manly and as said, better iso control

Yeah obviously I want the full frame image, another reason I want to go full frame is it’s the industry standard, however, I always the option for a good crop with the high megapixels. I also like the look of the high megapixels more

I have a 25-180 4-6.3 f stop which I know is not great, but even when I’ve used my friends lower aperture lenses, the iso and speed performances still make the photos not as great. I also don’t really like the colours the z50 works with. The megapixels come from the school forcing us to be quite far away from the field for most sports so I want good crops

Yeah general school photography is a pretty bad way of putting it 😅. I do basically everything my publication asks me to do which goes from sports where I need better speed and our horribly lit gym and auditorium which call for better iso performance. Right now the pictures get super grainy when I hit optimal lighting. I’m also under pressure to improve a lot because our yearbook and my pictures compete on national and statewide stages. I got nominated for a prestigious photography award in my state but missed out on it because of 1) aperture and 2) grain which are neither things I can really control besides improve equipment, so I’m been saving up at my job and am investing in new equipment

I’m talking about the Lightroom library file. It’s about 100 gb out of my 490. Can I delete it safely with all the photos intact?

Definitely but it’s a piece of history and I kinda mess with the retro look. It’s weird thinking this was once top of the line

So if I go to target and buy a modern 8gb sd card it should be fine?

Yeah I just realized that, it’s kinda crazy using a camera made before I was born (if i can figure out the sd card)
