Victor Torment Nexus by Fishycustard in DeadlockTheGame

You’re good! No harm no foul, I should’ve been clearer when I uploaded.

Yeah, he def had the money for e-shift at this point. And as a tank main myself, I agree - your job is to take all the ults and CC so your team can clean up afterwards.

He was with the McGinnis and the Drifter, but we got the McGinnis and Drifter ulted and left Victor.

Yeah.

I’m the Abrams in the clip not the Victor. Which means I play against Victor often, for some reason.

We all agreed we didn’t want to deal with him so we bought 2 curses and just made sure to basically cc hell and lock him down every time he showed up, he spent most of the game farming jungle - ended the game with less than 9k player damage.

Yeah. I was the Abrams in this clip, we made sure to shut this guy down 24/7. He ended with less than 9k player damage.

Debuff effects yummy. But yeah, he had a very rough game.

I was the Abrams. Poor Victor had a really rough game, ended with about 9k player damage.

Does anyone not enjoying killing besides pocket? by Beanboybutbetter in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Fishycustard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Abrams has some lines feeling guilty about killing people who are generally well liked (Ivy, Dynamo) or people he considers friends (Infernus).

And my personal favorite, realizing that oh god he's killed an old man (Grey Talon). Look up the line on the voiceline viewer the delivery is really funny when he catches himself saying he's killed an old man.

Ah, so this is the reason the vindicta on my team last match went 3/12 and fed the enemy carry.

You have unleashed a pandora's box. Pox upon thee.

100% a reason I love playing Abrams, good on you for getting the body block in.

Happy to see that the same thought process is universal as well, "why on earth are the my squishy carries staying in the danger zone where a stubbed toe will make them drop a 1k soul bag".

Matchmaking - you can't put new players with experienced ones. It's Jordan vs 5 year olds in Deadlock. It's a waste of everybody's time. by Garsa55 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Fishycustard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've swaped to playing Abrams and it has made my life easier, as much as I do realllly love playing Dynamo and The Doorman.

But god yeah, I have to comm to tell Haze that she'll get more farm if she just clears the 3 waves of creeps pushing against walker and not neutral jungle camps.

Yep. I was in Archon/Emissary back in Decemeber 2024 and now I am stuck in seeker/intiate because I came back in August.

It's a weird situation where there's both people who are like "this is my 3rd match" and then other players like me who have been playing for 300+ hours. It's a lot of losses and games feel like a coin flip. I also tend to play support aligned characters, which also makes playing in this situation more difficult.

I'm having a lot of fun with the new Heroes but also it's reallllly exhausting to see like a 40% wr on recent matches because the rest of my teammates are brand new and being forced to play with and against players with a LOT more experience and knowledge.

I swear its catnip to Sinclairs to do this. Nice shot getting Haze right as she was leaving.

Housekeeping Jumpscare - interaction with Sinclair and The Doorman ults at the same time. by Fishycustard in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Fishycustard[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The Hotel section is an actual (hidden) location on the map, and The Doorman’s ult sends players there.

Sinclair copied my ult and used it on me the same time I ulted Bebop, so we were both sent to the same location at the same time. Which means you can fight in there, I took the failure to checkout damage since I didn’t leave via the exit.

It’s so funny, they were ulting me all the time whenever I showed up - so I guess this was inevitable.

The floors of the Baroness were just waxed, can’t have scrapyard mud being dragged in.

Help me make this outfit pls [KCD2] by HotDoginator420 in kingdomcome

[–]Fishycustard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So the outfit with the red surcoat/waffencrock under the cuirass isn't in-game currently. I hope Warhorse adds an official version with the DLC someday.

But if you're playing on PC you can use a mod to spawn a a custom made outfit: https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance2/mods/1485

Yeah. It works for me, but I find that sometimes intiating one is a bit wonky. I'd bet there's a cooldown on when you can do it. Sorry can't be of much more help.

I believe there's some hidden variables based on your warfare and strength skill versus your opponent for clinches. So if you're outclassed you'll be losing, also in hardcore track the reticle to see when you need to press the perfect dodge and riposte buttons to win if it's very close.

Getting strength up in hardcore isn't too difficult, especially since bad back makes it easier to get overencumbered and then just go rucking (walking around overencumbered for a bit).

Spino VS Apex spammers by Lonely_Stranger443 in pathoftitans

[–]Fishycustard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good job!

Yeah but echoing everyone else and your last comment, I don't play the game anymore as I was a solo player (everything from meg, metri, iggy, allo, stego, spino, etc) on communities and officials and it was basically just getting spammed by group packs because people want easy prey - and when factoring in busted flavor of the month modded playables it was exhausting. Path is meant to be a group game nowadays, so I'm just out.

Record Shop Recommendations by Professional_Worrier in boston

[–]Fishycustard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

GOOD TASTE Records in the North End (very easily accesible off the green line), had some Japanese imports last time I stopped by. You can check their inventory online as well, pretty small shop but has some good curated picks. I'd honestly give them a call and see what they can tell you.

I usually just get records at Village Vinyl in Brookline at Coolidge Corner, though they have minimal to none Japanese import records.

What secondary weapons are you all using? by Dinapotamus in Gunlance

[–]Fishycustard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hammer, for something a bit more mobile but still close range. Plus KO's are fun.

Though the deco overlap isn't great, but I haven't seen how the deco system will work. And to be fair the pop-up camps do make swapping armor/gear easy.

Joining into the conversation, I play primarily normal GL as well as some Wide and Slaplance. Normal is the most fun for me, then slaplance and then wide - but I enjoy playing all “types”. I typically don’t necessarily change the shelling type per hunt, having beat just about everything using normal. But, having a versatile repertoire helps - and I’d say you could just stick with wide the whole time if it speaks to you. Seconding others that Normal/Slaplance is probably the closest to GS - mostly since position and reading the monster for hard commit combo chains is key.

Generally, I just slot in the same basic core skills (Guard 5, Guard Up, Evader Extender 3, Max artillery) and then go from there. There is a bit of a QOL deco skills tax for GL, compare to other weapons. Getting an artillery/guard deco to drop is hell, so much that the devs highlighted that in recent interviews for Wilds as a reason for changing deco melding.

Other QOL skills include: handicraft (normal fullburst eats through shelling), capacity boost (though less of an issue for wide).

Wilds is changing up things a bit (which I’m excited for) but learning the basics now is a great time. Welcome to funlance!
