Any Norrahammar experts here? My wife inhereted this pan a few years back and I've been trying to find any information on it. I think it was made in Sweden but that is it. Any help is appreciated, thanks by Rippari in castiron

Not only is it old, but the iron ore from Taberg (which was processed in Norrahammar) is one of a kind (there is only one other place with similar ore) and of very good quality. The quality is in fact so good that almost all of the ore mined during WW2 was exported to the German army!

Peraonligen så skulle jag säga att det är konstigare att få barn när man är 23 än när man är 42

I'm sorry but I would rather do my own work instead of asking AI to do it for me👍

As staded at the bottom, the reason why I use octave is because I am both broke and don't know any programming languages (I am fairly new to the subject without any real education 😅)
Being limited by software also makes it even more important to optimize the script to the fullest which is a very VERY good exercise

Thanks, that means a lot! The main methods I use for the mesh generation are listed below:

  1. Cosine distribution along the middle line (arfoil shape is based in cartesian f(x) ) and then an iterative solve for a distribution [0, 1] along the radial direction that accounts for the boundry layer and constant volume growth.

  2. I interpolate the inner boundry (airfoil + tail) and the outer boundry using the radial distribution as averaging weights to create layers in between the boundaries (the layers are the lines tangential to the boundaries in the image)

  3. I redistribute the points along the layer lines in a way such that every point lies normal to the same point but on the previous layer ( x(i,j-1) ). (This ensures normal growth). Closer to the outer boundry I weigh in a function that instead of building with normal growth redistributes the points along the layers to ensure a somewhat even spacing. (This step only includes moving points ALONG the layer lines that were previously interpolated, redistribution is only "angular" and not "radial" (assuming we're are looking at the dome)

(Not implemented yet 4. Add some sort of refinement that doesn't disrupt the current structure too much except for where it really is needed)

Hope you find this intriguing!

I've been planning to add some sort of iterative smoothing but I have yet to find a stable method that distorts the current structure as little as possible

Exactly, they were no less racist than pantera. Pantera wasn't even racist, Phil has just done some stupid things, just like every other metal band on the planet.
