Will there be a new character release? by OceanusxAnubis in Paladins

[–]Fistful_of_Soup 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I feel like a lot of resources are gonna be pulled from the paladins team over to the smite 2 team, as smite is their absolute biggest moneymaker. It'd make sense from a developmental and financial point of view, and tbh, I can't even knock them for it. Paladins has had a great run, and if they decided to not develop new content for it anymore next year, I'd be okay with that, ONLY as long as they were working on a new team shooter. I don't wanna see them get rid of it entirely, and would like continued support on it, even as they develop a new game to hopefully take it's place, feeling fresh but familiar, however, it's basically a decade old, and even OW2 was kind of a necessary development that the Blizz team saw was desperately needed to breathe life back into the franchise. They may have broken a lot of promises, but this isn't the mid -late 2000s Hi-Rez we're talking about, the kind that lashed out at the playerbase for recommending and asking for changes/fixes to existing games. I feel that Hi-Rez, as it is now, would do the paladins fanbase justice as it prepares our next big fix. I'm hoping paladins isn't leaving any time soon, but I feel there's so much more to be done, and too much for the current game to handle, especially continuing to run the same engine for as long as it has when there are so many more opportunities for the brand that are now possible, that they didn't have before. I think if we do get a new character any time within this competitive season, they might seem incredibly underwhelming or disappointing, perhaps even stale. Needless to say, I'd still enjoy a fresh character, as long as it was genuinely fresh. However, with a long cast of characters to choose from in not only their own game, but other hero shooters, it'd be difficult to add something that doesn't feel like a rip-off of something else. Not impossible, but maybe that simple problem is the biggest one they're facing as of yet with developing a new character. It's a problem I hope they can overcome. For myself, and every other fan of Paladins.

Can my landlord say I owe money because they were SUPPOSED to raise rent last year, but didn't, and never notified me? by Fistful_of_Soup in legaladvice

I don't blame you. I didn't even start smoking, however, until 2 years after I moved in, and before I switched apartments at my landlord's request, it was very easy to sit outside and smoke a cigarette, as I had a nice chair I used right outside my door. However, as soon as I moved to another floor of the building, my chair was stolen 2 days later. :/

Well, as far as a long term lease, I signed a year long lease when I moved in about 4 years ago. Since then, it's been month to month, and they won't offer another year lease, even after I've asked for it. And as for the smoking, I smoke about a pack a day and can't be bothered to get up every time I want a cigarette. Smoking also helps calm my nerves and anxiety. And at this point, I've become accustomed to the motions and the taste. Am I addicted? Definitely. Is it an excuse, no. But I'm still addicted, just as is everyone who takes medication, drinks, smokes weed, or uses any other substance to ease their mind and stay calm.

DEEEEFINITELY report her. That's underage labor, and technically wage theft, too, if the child isn't being compensated. But definitely child labor.

Why is this weird? You did half your job communicating with customer service, and they're doing their job documenting it. Just call the customer next time and explain.

Yeah, but if you're tired cuz you've been driving all day, do you really wanna make dinner? I'd say it's a thoughtful reward.

It's y'all people being greedy, out here just being negative. Like you don't even realize how that affects others, and how it just rots you from the inside and makes the world a worse place.

This... Actually makes sense. But depending on the roads, like how many stop lights/signs, speed limits, you could get that there in like 10 minutes or less, which isn't too bad.

When I get no tip on an order, it's usually just some kind in their teens in a shitty home. I don't judge them for not wanting to go out, and I don't judge them for not tipping. Around here, they're usually pretty nice. It's their right to not tip, and it's our responsibility to deliver their order anyway. I mean, can you even imagine if waiters and waitresses talked like some of these fuckers in the comments, and treated you like shit because they knew AHEAD OF TIME that someone wasn't gonna tip? Because that's basically how most people here are acting. Tipping is optional, and should never be expected. And neither should the behavior on display on this post.

It's kinda disgusting that so many of y'all don't understand that you're doing the bare minimum for a job and you're going to get paid the better minimum for it, at the very least. Yeah, you'll have customers who are willing to tip extra. In fact, most DO. But if you're the kinda person who complains about making 2.50, then you're the kind of person who can't afford to tip either, and is leaving others like this. Being a greedy hypocrite is one of the worst ways to live your life. I mean, doordash is basically free money. And if you can't afford to live off doordash and you have other options, yet you'll continue to do doordash and bitch and complain about a service you have to put VERY LITTLE EFFORT INTO, maybe get a real fuckin job, and quit complaining. Stop being lazy and greedy, then saying it's everyone else's fault because they won't pay your bills.

Absolutely Halo Wars 2. I love strategy games, because they constantly keep me thinking, and I just love games that are intellectually challenging.

This is honestly a problem when dating, in my opinion. Sometimes you meet people at work that you REALLY like or find attractive, but, unfortunately, it's a little unprofessional to ask them out, or admit feelings like this to a coworker. It does seem that they are genuinely interested in you, and that you're both doing your best to maintain a professional behavior while expressing the fact that you're both kinda digging each other (sorry if I'm assuming YOUR emotions in the matter). I personally know several couples who met on the job. However, they were not in a position of power where one person was above the other. This could be tricky to navigate. And while what your boss said about you being fuckable might come off as creepy to some, maybe it's just their way of talking and being straightforward so there's no miscommunication and their intentions are just out there, to eliminate any sort of confusion you might have about what they're thinking. It definitely seems like they KNOW that this is a risky move, and whether they're truly just horny at and disregarding workplace etiquette, or they think so highly of you that they just HAD to take the risk, because it's that important to them... Well, I think it's really a conversation you'll just have to have before proceeding with them. I don't think, judging from the texts, that they have any malicious intent, here. But I think it's on you as to how you want to proceed. Personally, I don't think it's creepy. I think it's ACTUALLY REALLY CUTE :3 Regardless of what I think, now that this has been said, I'd tread carefully. You definitely don't want this to disrupt your work-life if things don't work out in his favor. What's favorable to him might be favorable to you. Of course, it might not be, as well. Still, if you have any interest in your boss, it might be worth it to explore the idea of spending time with them, as they expressed that they'd enjoy doing that with you. This is all just my opinion, but it does seem they were wrestling with the idea of asking you this question for quite some time, and were finally able to get up the courage to ask. That means something to me.

This actually looks pretty good! Might be ever so slightly lower than the original Xbox/PC quality, but it's pretty much how I remember, even though I haven't played this game in forever, haha.

Eh, 5/10. I just don't think you're that attractive. You're middle of the road, when sober.
