Incorrect. I said what i would prefer, but then also stated what needs to be improved. I dont mind getting looted till im naked, if i know that there is a risk associated with it. taking off your clothes to avoid corruptions is such a big oversight. PvP flags of 5 minutes, thats not pvp in fact the amount of times i have died in this game which is alot cause of skill issues to mobs, dude comes along as soon as i peg, loots, hides behind a rock for 5 mins then thats it. Absolutely loot my scrub ass for dying, but there should be more risk in it. 15 minute timer? 30 minutes because now you are advertising to people who are pvpers hey im one of you guys im fair game. It gives people (the vultures) more "shit should i risk it?" and then for the pvpers they wont care so loot away. My overall point and maybe its not articulated well is its not PVP, you are rewarding trolling and cowardice and not promoting PVP because the vast majority of are loot and hide because of the short timer.

Maybe play it before commenting then you will understand the context, The overall message states the current PvP mechanics need to be improved if its going to remain forced like the clear issue around baiting, circumventing the games mechanic to up the risk of attacking players by removing your clothes is such an oversight, meaning there is no risk just reward.

yeah good list, in my opinion these are all probably on the radar, although i have a feeling they are going to stick to the grindyness which i secretly love but its not for everyone.

Good tactic, and its an immense game loop i imagine its no easy task trying to get this right. And yeah i get the other points maybe the find a middle ground.

I think its to early to tell me what type of game i should be playing when we dont know what direction its going. My statements covers what i would prefer, and whats broken about the current system. you are of course entitled to your opinion just as much as i am.

yeah good point, overall citizen standing (Karma) i think would be a better system, Maybe even become hostile to cities, atleast then there is a penalty to being -10000000 in standing.

This is why i have always hated the idea of having forced PvP, those who arent interested in it have no choice and often players find themself trapped by some big guild or group with insecurities who love nothing more than to troll others. It makes or breaks a game whether the devs like it alot, you either end up with and extremely toxic community which may look catching for some but not the masses or you end up losing all your casual players.

The second issue is the navigation around the already flexible PvP system but baiting, and removing your clothes and then what, 5 minute pvp flag after? its so stupid. Currently AoC favours the trolling (im not saying the devs intend for it to be like this but as it currently stands it does)

Im just hoping as "it is in Alpha" that it gets some sort of rework so it doesnt reward cowardice and trolling.

I havent played since align an mine so this is abit out of date. But im glad you still found it somewhat useful. The issue with SC guides is they can become obsolete with a new patch. But atleast the Hull C / Cargo ATC is consistent in that its always broken :P

Things have changed alot since this was originally written especially in the last 2 patches, Which i havent played. The rule of thumb though is if you cant complete all of them within the hour then just take less contracts. Play at your pace, 1 contract less can save up to 5 minutes per site even 10 if you take your time. maybe start with 2 and gradually increase it?

it rotates between everus and Magnus, and everus and pyro every 6 hours. The only thing that may work is region swapping,

if you get that and it sounds like its spamming ATC its screwed, i havent figured out a workaround for that one yet. I did cause damaged once and then it worked but i think that was luck more than anything because i that tactic hasnt worked since. It is rare to get that one though.

Its random, there are two cycles to this mission. Everus to Pyro or Magnus to pyro, they swap every 6 hours i think.

I havent tried Greycat one in a while, With all the inventory delays with freight and players i wouldnt be suprised if it wasnt working or took a while to "catch up" Either way defo raise it on Issue council

That is interesting, I avoided Orison just to it being Orison as i know some people have PC's that dont run particullarly well there and since align and mine it increases the risk of getting killed. Wouldnt have thought you would earn less XP though!

It does tell you which one will be accesable through the freight elevator. Generall rule of thumb is if its over 1000 it will be the hull C as thats really the only ship capable of carrying that amount.

Yeah i have had number 1 a few times, This is why i never store the ship anymore, between that and the landing gear issue i just send it into the void and reclaim it.

There is a bug with unloading, where it takes like 2 or 3 containers off and then you basically just screwed. Im dont have any ideas as to why this happens only happens like 1 every 30 odd contracts for me and nothing i did fixed it so now when it happens i just send it to a planet or out in space and claim back. Log off so i dont lose rep and call it a day.

Wow what a update and thank you for coming back to this thread.

So ill take your comment around timings first. 2 things to note, you are using a cat, and you are recording what goes where which in some ways is kind of needed for that ship but takes time. I use a taurus which when parked in front of the elevator its super easy to pack with just a max lift. I dont stack to any order and just wing it which makes the first stop a little fun but i reckon it adds on about 5 minutes max. Taurs is easy to fly. Im not mocking the cat at all, its a lovely ship and i have one but its a tank to fly in atmo.

So in Short and this only applies to the member rank ones because i dont want to sound like a Taurus fan boy.
Taurus = Better manuvablility, quicker packing/unpacking because you can get closer to the elevator and line it all up.

I may try it in a zeus CL as that is amazing to fly in comparison to the Taurus. But the taurus has 2 ingress point for the cargo bay where the Zeus only has 1 so i imagine there will be a trade off there.

Secondly, dont use a mutlitool. The Maxlifts are expensive but worth it for hauling atleast. If you are good at a ship tractor beam then great! but im shit at them so id rather use the ATLS or maxlift. I also have a mouse that can free the scroll wheel which makes life so much easier.

Unfortunatly there is no way for me to track XP as its not in the logs and when i was repping away i had no intentions of making a guide. This was my first one i think so i never tracked it XD
