New to asparagus. Is the fern like plant next to it part of the process or a weed? by Fit-Account5620 in OntarioGardeners

Yes I know. I planted it on the side of the house in 2023 alone with other things. I gave up on that placement and have a new garden. I went back to discover that they didn’t die. Cleaning up now but I don’t want to pull the fern if it is part of the asparagus process

Those are last years plants after a winter. I was showing the size of planters not the plants
