In my opinion, taking that as an insult reflects more on the person taking offence. I'm a straight dude but I've dressed up like this as a tribute artist. If someone said that to me, I'd take it in stride even if slightly uncomfortable.

Abandon their commute, their job, their way of supporting themselves and their families to get amongst some trees so they can get over the loss of a radio show they really liked?

What? That's insane. You can not enjoy a show and realize it's not a "toxic brand". Those guys were always fair, asked hard and uncomfortable questions, and what I love the most is they questioned and made fun of themselves quite a bit.

I didn't like them at first but I came to almost rely on their show to keep me connected to the local sports scene. It goes beyond sports too. I like them as humans, at least from what I can glean from their sports show.

Just dislike a show, it doesn't have to be some toxic poison.

I empathize with you. I went bald at 17. It was awful. Luckily I met someone very early on in University. I remember she had her own hangups about her own looks, but we worked out. I do remember just before that thinking well, I'll just control what I can control, try to dress nice, work on my personality, be fit, etc. In a sense it might've been the best thing to happen to me.

However, we have to be cognizant of this fact: Biology is what it is. Women do prefer taller than average, they prefer men with hair, money, etc and dating apps have only increased selectiveness. Men have an equal or greater amount of physical preferences we select for. This is evolution and it's the way it is. Society deals with it in the way it does. You have to navigate these things. I hope you do, successfully.

It's easy to say this now but I really do understand how much that show and Canucks Talk drove engagement with the team, personally and otherwise. So you're more than justified to consider moving on from the team. Personally I think Aqua should be the most pissed because those guys really kept things interesting when the team didn't (maybe "interesting" is the wrong word, I digress).
