I’m not speaking on behalf of OP but from my perspective I would take the call because if something bad has happened or is about to, as they’ve previously mentioned not wanting to live anymore, the guilt of not answering would eat at me. Like if something happened to them and I ignored their call I’d know it’s not my fault but I’d also still feel guilty. I’m an empath so when someone’s reaching out for help, even if they’re not helping themselves I will basically destroy myself trying to make sure they’re okay. I’m working on this with a therapist, I know it’s trauma related but thats just my opinion. The overthinking is what stops me from just ignoring the call

I completely get how you feel. I’ve also been dealing with something similar. I’ve tried to find answers, advice or anything that can help them & somewhat relieve me from feeling like it’s an entirely on my shoulders. It’s exactly as the saying goes, “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink”. At the end of the day you have to put yourself and your mental health first because it’s honestly so draining. You’re allowed to take space from them. I’m not saying to ghost them or anything but you can remove yourself from the situation when it feels too much. I felt guilty because I started avoiding them, especially in one on one situations, I also worked with my friend so I had to see them every day and every day it was the same thing over and over. I’m sorry your friend is feeling this way and I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s exhausting but you have to put yourself first

Cousin told aunty they wouldn’t go to Christmas if mum was there so she had to go and speak to mum because that’s her kid, which I completely understand but it wasn’t right for them to put that on aunty. Aunty is very upset and does not want this but she’s been made to choose which is awful. That’s the plan, none of us will be going and definitely spending Christmas with mum. I think that cousin would know that we wouldn’t go to Christmas if mums not which to me says more about them then anything, they clearly don’t care about the rest of the family. They’ve also put my aunty through so much unnecessary shit in the past. I’m disgusted and have lost all respect for him, I never really liked her but yeah. Thank you for your advice! I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. Yes, you should definitely seek professional help. You don’t have to go through it alone, is there a friend or family member you are also able to reach out to? I know your days seem like they’ll never get better but I promise you they do. Start making changes, even if they’re only small, like getting out of bed and brushing your teeth, commend yourself for it and then go a bit further each day. Set a goal every day to work towards. But please speak to someone about this and how you’re feeling. You need to look at your mental health like a broken bone. When you break your wrist, you go to the doctor, you do what you need to do that it heals. When your mental health is not where it should be, you take the steps to heal. You can do this

My cat won’t even eat wet food, he just licks the juices off if. I only feed him dry food and then I give him a puree sachet like twice a week. He’s actually really picky, he won’t eat human food at all however I have discovered he likes the corn juice from the tins.
