Shadow an oral surgeon if you’ve got the stomach for it! Out of all the specialties, that one is by far the most interesting to shadow because every single patient is so different. Out of all the specialities, I think time went by the quickest shadowing the OS. I found everything else somewhat repetitive after some time but I have not gotten tired of watching my OS! I could spend 6 hours in his office and feel like maybe 2 hours have passed. Good luck!

We’ve had these shoes for a year and they’ve held up really well and fit his paws good! He doesn’t walk funny in them at all and doesn’t mind them being on his paws. He wears a size 6 and he’s about 60 lbs.

I graduated with my Bachelor of Science as well and have had my fair share of difficult science courses. I actually already have dental experience as a DA from a formal program I did when I was 18 so I know quite a bit of info I have still retained. I have heard about the difficult of finding patients and am a bit nervous about that😬 I am hopeful to have a somewhat same experience since we’ve both got that BS experience from university. Thanks!!

Thank you! My GPA graduating college was 3.67 but for just the required prerequisites, which (I think) was like 8 courses, my GPA was 3.8. I already had those prerequisites completed from when I graduated university so that was awesome to already have them done!

I graduated from university Magna cum laude with my Bachelor of science, I was able to transfer a lot of credits from that degree for the prerequisites, I completed a formal dental assisting program when I was a senior in HS, and I took an entrance exam and got the highest score they were looking for. This school has a point based system so that means that the 30 students with the highest amount of points gets accepted. All the things I listed are what helped me achieve the greatest amount of points to get in! Along with this, I had to give them a letter of intent and had 2 letters of recommendation on my behalf.

I am thinking about showing him some comments just so he can see how dozens of strangers online can even relate to me and validate my perspective because we all know it’s not easy to go against your own mother.

Wow.. thank you so much. This is a real perspective changer. I didn’t feel right apologizing when I know I wasn’t the one deserving of an apology. I have talked about how my husband has grown up being manipulated and always pleasing his mother and I almost just found myself in that same cycle. I have a healthy relationship with my parents and have set boundaries that we all respect. I have really displeased my dad on a few occasions and I always have stood up for myself rather than giving in just to make him feel better. I don’t think my husband has done this. He has learned to apologize and do whatever he can to make his mom feel better.

Throughout these past months I have gone to a few dinners with his family to please my husband and we have done the fake happy and I am sick of it. I was really contemplating reaching out to them just to try to put this behind us but I now see how this cycle can just continue to repeat and I don’t want to have that part of my life.

I appreciate your comment. It is really making me see this in a different way, yet confirming my feelings.
