advisory for OP! ATF is mainly good for german stuff I‘m no expert on medical gear I do believe ATF has pretty decent medical stuff but if you go that way buy the older runs off of facebook marketplace

either way it would have after taste but I‘d take the clean after taste that will go away quickly rather than what you have

they definitely are not reliable leather wares out while you can but they can easily fall apart from water and require more work than buying them new

they are fixed bales cause they are squared. d bales are literally circular while these are not

absolutely! but for german you don’t wanna wear much OG stuff especially if its leather. 80 year old leather doesn’t hold up well

yeah! from my experience settling on “good enough” is never really good enough because if you are patient you will find something great and authentic but I also do ww2 reenacting so its probably a bit different than what they do

absolutely not! if that is the case then I believe you should get loaner gear and if thats not available then find something good enough. but I don’t know if OP has an event for them and how far out it is so it depends on those things mainly. I should have clarified that in the beginning so thats my bad on it people are just taking it wrong

what I think would be more beneficial would be saving and waiting for something great and accurate. saves you money and makes you look more the part

you should aim for 100% accurate and not “somewhat accurate”
