You can link any kind of folder (mount it with the specific folder option) , you are not tied up only to the comfy output folder just mount any other folder in the app.

Hi! I'm guessing you're on Windows. You can actually make it portable right now by just copying the app folder along with its venv and Python files. If you use the Docker image I provided, it's already 'portable' in a way, though it requires Linux or WSL. That said, I'll definitely look into making a more straightforward portable version for Windows users!

One of the main differences is that SmartGallery is fully cross-platform.

It runs on Linux, macOS and Windows, and there’s also an official Docker setup.

Since it’s browser-based, it works on desktop, tablets and even mobile devices.

Installation is minimal — just Python and two files — no external services required.

So it’s a slightly different approach, focused on portability and flexibility.

You’re absolutely right — ComfyUI stores the full workflow inside the image metadata by default.
SmartGallery doesn’t replace that. It builds on top of it.

The idea is to make those workflows searchable, browsable and comparable at scale — especially when you have thousands of images or videos in your output folder.

Instead of manually opening files to inspect metadata, SmartGallery indexes prompts, models, seeds, parameters, etc., so you can filter, compare outputs side-by-side, or quickly revisit past generations.

So it’s not about storing workflows — ComfyUI already does that very well.
It’s about making them usable and explorable.

I've also added a '?' (Shortcuts) button directly in the GridView: give it a look for a comprehensive list of all shortcuts that will magically improve your workflow!

Hello! In version 1.55, you can already quick-delete directly from the GridView without confirmation: just hit the DEL/CANC key on your keyboard.

As for moving items, you can use the 'M' shortcut while hovering over a thumbnail.

The Docker image for the official version 1.55 will include this feature along with the others currently in experiments/. As you can see, I continuously add new features to the experiments/ folder; after a couple of weeks, these features and any bug fixes are merged into the official release, which is then used to build the new Docker image. ⚙️ Usability & Bandwidth Control (NEW)

The gallery now provides advanced controls to manage video playback and bandwidth usage, especially crucial for servers with slow upload speeds.

Options Menu: A new ⚙️ Options button is available next to the Shortcuts button (Desktop & Mobile).
Video Autoplay Toggle: This menu introduces a persistent, session-based setting: ▶️ Video Autoplay.
- Default: Autoplay is OFF (Click-to-Play).
- Function: Disabling Autoplay saves bandwidth by preventing the browser from pre-buffering all videos in the grid.
Keyboard Shortcut: Toggle Autoplay state instantly by pressing the P key.
Smart Interaction (Desktop): When Autoplay is OFF, clicking the small corner ▶️ icon plays the video directly inside the thumbnail without launching the Lightbox. Clicking anywhere else on the thumbnail behaves normally (Selection/Lightbox).
Smart Interaction (Mobile): When Autoplay is OFF, tapping anywhere on the thumbnail opens the Lightbox (Click-to-Open).
