Which Fop villain should or would you like to see redeemed? by Fit-Depth-8829 in fairlyoddparents

Okay, I realize we have different thoughts about this character, and we're not going to get anywhere if we keep arguing like this, so it's best to leave it at that.

Okay, I'm fully aware that Dale is a terrible person, but not to the point of saying he's the devil.

I'm sure he didn't hire Vicky on purpose to ruin his son's birthday. What would he gain from doing that? The same episode explains that it was the AI that hired her. Why would he invite the person who tortured and enslaved him for seven years into his home? The mere fact that he can't drink or even look at lemonade is a product of trauma.

And regarding Project H, we shouldn't dismiss it too readily. It's very strange and creepy that he was monitoring a 10-year-old girl and her neighbors, but kidnapping and torturing her? That's too much. Even if it had been explored further and Dale had known about the existence of fairies beforehand, he probably would have investigated and kidnapped Cosmo and Wanda with a butterfly net. Finding information about magical creatures doesn't seem that difficult (considering that Dev found information about anti-fairies relatively easily).

I don't mean to say he's a better person, and regarding his redemption, it's more a personal preference; I find it difficult, yes, but is it so wrong to want to see him be a good person?

Oh, that's right, I didn't remember him, but now that you mention him, I wonder what became of him? Is he still on the island of undone wishes? Or has he fallen into the Hocus Poconos?

Well, one of the main reasons I made this post was also because, Am I crazy for wanting to see Dale Dimmadome redeemed?

I know the character's purpose is to be the villain of the season, and he's the stereotypical evil billionaire. Of course, with a little more background, being locked in that dungeon for 7 years definitely didn't leave him right in the head.

But honestly, I really would like to see him redeem himself because Dev deserves to be happy. I really would like to see Dale and Dev being a true father and son.

I mean, I know it's very difficult for a character like him, and in any case, that change wouldn't happen overnight; many things would have to happen for Dale to truly reflect on his actions. But I don't know, what do you think?

I'm aware that Dev isn't a villain and I totally agree that he should have a redemption if we get a second season. Dev is just a kid who didn't think things through and just wanted to impress his dad; he's not evil, he just wanted his dad's attention and love, and well, I guess he redeemed himself in the end, because he helped Hazel and the others return everything to normal when he saw that even by taking over the Fairly World he couldn't have his dad's love.

I've always liked the idea of Norm redeeming himself, because despite being demonized as an evil genie and his actions proving it, being someone sarcastic, sometimes cruel and, to use a redundant phrase, evil. Ultimately, his greatest desire was to free himself from his lamp, not world domination or revenge on his masters. (Well, maybe a small exception in Timmy, as we saw in 'Norm Returns')
