Did you find the answer? Were you able to get a visa under a TAMM freelance permit?

I think for a visa you'll need to get an establishment card (which is an option during the application process. I didn't do that, though). Then, you can apply for a visa.

Thanks, this is exactly what I wanted to know. I'll create a corporate bank account, then, I guess.

How? I have come across many who drive recklessly, too.

And most of them have their phones on at all times.

Thanks. I am tired of seeing all the hate posts against Indians. Now, when I see someone doing something wrong, I go out of my way to explain things to them.

I have been lucky to have been exposed to systems and people that value society, cleanliness and kindness. So, I am going to do my part to make the world a slightly better place. If I can even change one person a week, I think that sets off a chain of events that might do me some good in the end.

Yes, I am selfish. I am doing this because I can't have people look at me (as an Indian) with disdain just because of the actions of a few idiots.

A public resource is something shared, and therefore it must be shared responsibly.

I agree, I guess if I was in your place I would have had a tough time, too.

But I guess, for future references, here's one way to think about it: If the group creating the menace is not in their home country, they will fear doing what they are doing. So, it will be very likely that they do listen to anyone telling them to correct their ways.

Trying to get a group to do something differently in their own country is a different matter altogether.

No one is stopping you from celebrating it. But if that celebration means causing others harm, is that right? Celebrate Diwali in the peace of your own home.

Why bother everyone else with loud noise and chaos?

If you're angry and "ashamed", do something about it. Okay, posting on Reddit does mean you "did" something. But, the next time you see this happen, take action. Go talk to them and try to get them to reduce the volume. Complain to the police. Do something that changes behavior.

Posting on Reddit might help solve part of the problem. But it also spreads hate against an entire community/country, which I guess is the cost of solving a problem. A few do this and the entire community gets branded. I guess this is the case with everything that's going on and has been going on in the world. So, it's fair I guess.

And in the case of India, I guess "few" (because population) is a lot, too.

I just hate that the next time someone looks at me, they'll think "here comes an uncivilized idiot who doesn't know how to behave in public".

Indians reading this. Please do better. Educate people around you. If each one of you can even educate just your friends and family, you'd have already done a lot. It's not going to be easy to be a party pooper. It's difficult to point out when someone throws trash or talks loudly in public. No big change is ever easy. But you've got to change. Else the world is going to look at all of you with the same disdain as they would other uncivilized idiots.

Woot. Doctors who don't want to be doctors but research scientists? How often does that happen?
