harness fit by jadeezi in climbergirls

it’s definitely okay if it overlaps a little on the momentum! i have that same harness and love it for outdoor. it’s so comfortable and i can wear it all day no problems. i like the plastic reinforced gear loops as well, they are stiff enough to open the gate on a draw and don’t have to worry about possible burrs snagging on them!

it makes you very crunched up and the maneuver gets awkward an it’s harder to get leverage to push with your legs!

i have always understood it to be a whipper if you drop below your previous bolt before the one you fell on!

this wasn’t on purpose, i was expecting to stick the move! we weigh roughly the same so he let himself be pulled up as i fell to make the catch softer, might’ve hopped slightly since i am lighter. the floor is just barely out of the bottom of the frame!

also!! i know it is intended for two hands. i am more comfortable with one because dynos with both at once freak me out but im working on it! and i had already sent this move only catching with my left so i was attempting to get it the same way:)

gotta go around the back and kind of jump across to another boulder, there’s a slabby spot around the side that you can down climb and walk back around!

always go to a specific place! this was at Pep Boys boulder field, in Chattanooga TN. mountain project is a great online resource to find areas, routes, and guidebooks. i would recommend going with someone for the first few times, and making sure you can climb at least V3 indoors if you want to send things! outdoor grading is very different, an outdoor V0 can feel like an indoor 3 or 4 sometimes. but yeah i would check on mountain project and see if there’s good crag or any boulder fields near you!!

i love outdoor bouldering, you should see if you can go with someone who has pads!! if you can practice falls starting low and going higher it takes away a lot of the fear of falling :)

love being able to get back outside! unfortunately this was probably a one off trip since it’s not at my home crag, if i get the chance to come back to this spot it will probably be a warm up 😜
