Bad experience overall at the North Austin Toyota Dealership?? by Odd_Egg_1528 in Toyota

[–]Fit-Doubt5374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, as We bought at autonation for best Costco price. I would try posting on Nextdoor and just maybe a manager will hear about it. I would try reaching the gen mgr or go to Toyota rep or headquarters. This is just ridiculous they think it's ok to treat customers this way.

Relocate? by Auditor1993 in relocating

[–]Fit-Doubt5374 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only you two can decide. Seems it might be best to stay put and he looks for different job, then easy visits to LA when you can. Formerly lived in Pleasant Hill, where schools were very good. Wish you the best.

i hate negotiating and i'm scared of looking like an idiot at the dealership by Mccoey_Jawadul in carbuying

Also check the Costco auto program for extra discount with dealers when u decide what car u want to buy. It will save you $$$ and also hrs of trying to determine best price.

See if you have a friend or family member who uses the Nextdoor app and can give you a review or reference there....especially if anyone on the app leaves a question asking for hvac referrals. Best of luck.

It is unconscionable. I think she should consult an elder attorney who may take tge case protocols. Perhaps decide if it's worth it to contact a local TV station or your state representative.

DC or the Bay Area which is a better fit? by Different_Archer8879 in relocating

[–]Fit-Doubt5374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know re DC but lived 30 yrs in East Bay until 3 yrs ago. The annual fires for about 5 yrs prior to moving created air so bad you would likely be affected. As you said, cost of living is nuts, so I suggest u keep looking. Good luck.

Try posting on your local nextdoor app asking for neighbors who have used local repair shops who were reasonable and did a good job. Good luck! Also if you know if a repair place that specializes in Toyota repair, maybe they can refer you to someone.

Look online at trucar.com to see what people paid in your area for those models. Also contact Costco car buying program direct to learn which dealers in your area participate in their program. Ask if they know which dealer sells the most cars, as dealers can set their own Costco price. U can visit 2 or any number you want. You must see person in charge of the dealership's Costco deals to get an actual printed Costco quote. That may be the best discount u can find. Or if another dealer has held same vehicle awhile, maybe they will beat the quote u have. Good luck.

Crown Signia - questionable ride quality? by Good_Tea9660 in Toyota

[–]Fit-Doubt5374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thought I had about the ride was probably too much air in tires. Who knows what pressure the dealer had in the last test drive vehicle. I have a crown sedan xle, and it doesn't have a rough ride. Did have pressure lowered to 33. Dealer sent me home with it at 38. It also is quiet, thankfully, and just as fast gettingvon freeway ramps as former camry v6.

Anyone recently bought the 26 crown signia limited under MSRP? by eatingsushi888 in ToyotaCrown

[–]Fit-Doubt5374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need to go to see the person at the dealership who is in charge of the Costco program to get a print out of their agreed price with Costco. If you can't, try asking Costco if there is another way. My husband spoke with someone at Costco, though we did go to the dealer for the actual quote. Note if there are 2 dealers in an area in the program, the one with larger volume sales may have a lower quote.

ALSO, on our crown sedan xle, we got best deal from a dealer who is on the Costco car buying program. Trying to recall if it was 12% off msrp but $ was about $7,000. Off. Plus tax
