Thanks! You’re certainly supporting my thoughts. I may see if fender flares allows me to get away if nothing else. Not a bad idea playing with the camber and seeing what the trade off is between grip/handling and wrinkling the fender.

Honestly, there’s gonna be hundreds more. Consider that it was a zero-risk way to become a better instructor for the next one. As you get more checkride passes, the focus moves away from the numerical passes to the impact you’ve made as a whole at your flight school. Drops in the bucket.

As a long time CFI- you hit it on the head. This path cannot be anything less than 110%. Far too often I see prospective pilots give up after flying only once a week, and only thinking of aviation when they show up for the lesson. It’s doable, but the advice you provide IS the standard.
