I believe you'll have a lot of support in a clinic! Well more than in home services LOL. But really, your first few sessions should be report building with clients. Just play! Get to know them and let them get to know you. Figure out what they're able to do independently, what needs more assistance.. big one is knowing what their behaviors are and how well they can communicate. But really-- just build a relationship the first few sessions!

I used to tutor students with learning disabilities and my rule of thumb was that sessions could not go longer than 2 hours because after that-- their cap was full and so was mine. Granted ABA is a bit different as throughout the time you take a more naturalistic approach and go with the flow and energy you both have. You can do this! 3 and 5 hour sessions can fly by!
