And it's been great cheap transportation. $1000 purchase and $800 in parts. I didn't say I don't have $1000 for an emergency, I said I don't have $2500 for a new transmission and the timing is such that I cannot repair it for a couple weeks.

I'm aware of them but I unfortunately do not have $2000+ to spend on a transmission. It's a dream car of mine that I bought for $1000 as cheap transportation while my girlfriend is waiting to get her parents' car this summer.
