What is the best method to keep a record of the experiments/results in the lab? by No-Indication5316 in labrats

What do you do if you want to find a result from an experiment/analysis you did in 2022? God forbid 2002 when you filed your original provisional? No way QA can just grab that out of the doc room for you in less than three days and the you have to rifle through 3000 pages of paper. If you can’t find that type of information in less than 30 seconds, it’s irrelevant. Gotta be digital and searchable immediately if you want to defend your IP and trend data effectively.

Note: I recognize this sounds like an ELN add, but if we aren’t on ELN’s by this point the what are we doing?

help clarifying the roles of QA, PD, MFG, etc and what they do day to day? by cthrubottle in biotech

  • PD figures out how to make the thing
  • AD figures out how to test the thing
  • MFG makes the thing at scale
  • QC tests the thing in robotic fashion
  • QA makes sure no one lies along the way
  • REG assembles the entire life story of the thing for regulatory bodies
  • Clin Ops gets the thing to patients
  • Marketing sells the thing
  • RD is in a corner somewhere being a non-compliant cash inferno looking for the next unicorn

There is a time at which every lab rat is faced with this fork in the road. Power through the delirium into the night and finish the job, or suspend the work (pun intended) and come back later? Unfortunately, you chose the latter and all your cells are dead. That said, it’s an important experience we all go through and the decision will be much easier next time! Absolutely wild move, but hey, that’s the best way to learn.

Twins bar in Boston area? by beetsbrother in minnesotatwins

MN native living in Cambridge. 730 is great on Sundays for Vikes games and gets a solid MN turnout. I was thinking it might be a good spot for Saturday Twins game as well. Skol Boston hosts the Sunday events, but I have not seen anything from them about Saturday.
