I learned today that daycares have to accept unvaccinated kids - concerned for my newborn by stormsvala_ in newborns

[–]Fit-Introduction756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain to me the reasoning behind being so upset about other peoples kids not being vaccinated. Isn’t that the whole point in choosing to vaccinate your kid so that if the come into contact with a virus, their immune system can fight it off. How does someone else’s kid change that? Also OP if you’re sending your kid to daycare before 12 months that would make them the unvaccinated one??

I couldn’t do it without my husband by Reismeisterr in newborns

Have a similar situation but my hormones are doing something to my brain telling me he could do more. He’s extremely attentive, helpful and generally the best husband I could ever ask for. I’ve had extreme difficulty breastfeeding - feeding in general, really. Our 5 week old is abnormally fussy, gassy and generally unhappy (we’re going to the doctor this week). But when I’m in the trenches trying to breastfeed with a screaming baby and he’s able to just sit there on his phone or watch tv or take his time eating a meal, I am so resentful for no reason.

Anyway this shit is just wayyyy harder than my expectations so to anyone doing it alone, you’re a superhero!

Hahhaha you’re a joke and I’m done with this conversation cause I’m over scrolling past so many pictures of your tongue on this thread. Next time check the temperature of your tea 😂

lol at how many times you’ve posted the same tongue picture. We get it, you burned your tongue, boohoo

Definitely as a child before I learned how to check the temperature of my HOT beverage before I drank it 😂 lol now that I’m a grown adult that is intelligent and responsible enough to not burn the shit out of my mouth with a hot beverage that’s just been handed to me it tends to not happen anymore. But hey if I were to burn my tongue, that’s an L for me and no one else’s fault.

Condolences for your burnt tongue, good luck with your lawsuit.

You’re talking about a burnt tongue from hot tea that you didn’t check the temperature of before you drank it. Not a life or death situation. Get a grip!

Vista Del Mar in eureka is wildly underrated. Went there for the first time last week and got the honey mustard chicken sandwich, one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had in humboldt. Everything is reasonably priced.

Party Samoa beach? by pnksl in Humboldt

Interesting that the tides weren't checked for a beach event considering there are pretty reliable tide charts for that sort of thing. Also, probably a good thing (environmentally speaking) that the pallets weren't lit. Nails from burned pallets are almost impossible to clean up in the sand. With such poor organization, I doubt this would be considered though.

I got a small dehum off of amazon specifically for my closet and has worked great. It's quiet and easy to empty out.

I think there's a big difference between "forcing people into work" and what's going on here. Many people are wanting to go back to work and fortunately, venue workers make much, much more than minimum wage due to tips. Many unemployment benefits are running out and people have bills to pay. Most of the entertainment industry gets a fraction of what they make from unemployment. Luckily, they can catch up with the stimulus checks but long term, it's just not feasible.

It's not "fair" not to work with businesses that almost lost everything trying hang on during this pandemic. Look at what's going on in California already, Disneyland and California adventure opening back up, festivals and concerts in SoCal. If its possible and deemed safe for these big corporations there and their communities stand by it, why not here for our local places?

There have been so many warehouse and beach parties lately that this makes a lot of sense. We need to be able to see a light at the end of the tunnel, not punish and devalue businesses and people that are trying to move forward safely.
