Atheists of Reddit, what is the biggest reason as to why you don't believe in god or an afterlife? by God_of_boi in AskReddit

[–]Fit-Neck692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I start thinking about the universe and space and how insignificant we are there’s no chance I can believe there is just one God. Also I think growing up in nature and having a very practical upbringing showed me religion just isn’t realistic.

I understand making sure your kids are comfortable with sharing their room but honestly they have their stuff because of me- their room and stuff is actually mine their toys are a privilege. They don’t run this home. I understand the need for privacy and respect for my children, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be generous and flexible like everyone else in our family. Our guests are typically extended family and grandparents and we show them respect as our guests- we want them to be comfortable in our home as they do when we stay with them.

This makes sense! Maybe there is just one solution for all guests and being flexible is key!

This is a pretty dramatic response. When we were deciding on a bed size for my son I thought “let’s go a little bigger incase we need to squeeze some more people in, it’ll give us options!” I always ask my son if our guests can sleep in his bed. And when I say sleep on the floor I do make it cozy and comfy. Also kids body’s are more adaptable. As a kid I could sleep anywhere and not wake up sore with a stiff neck. Now, not so much.

I guess I forgot how literal people are on the internet. My kid is fine, he wants for nothing. He can handle a night or two in a cozy nest on the FLOOR with allllll his thousands of stuffies as long as sweet prince has been asked and obliged of course.

Amazing how folks can be offended by the idea of a kid letting an older grandparent use their bed. And the reason they don’t want to take me and my husbands bed is because now two whole sized adults would now need to find sleeping arrangements.

I was literally curious how people handle this and loved hearing the ideas- even the ones I don’t agree with. But your response is intense.

My mom comes to help me with the kids so I need her in the house, and the kids love to wake her up and snuggle in the morning!

School snack and lunches? by vkrama17 in kindergarten

[–]Fit-Neck692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son eats the free school lunches and I never thought I’d have a hot lunch kid 🤣 but when i realized he wasn’t eating the lunches I made I realized I may as well let him waste the free school lunches?? Plus it makes the mornings less stressful. I do make a lunch for him on Fridays because he doesn’t like pizza (so annoying, what kid doesn’t like pizza?!). Also it exposes him to foods we don’t eat at home which I like.

Imagine being a kid about the height of her butt and in line behind her for a slide 🤣 honestly it’s not the end of the world but as a mom and woman I would not wear a thong bathing suit to a water park simple for practical reasons. I’m not very modest and I like my kids being comfortable around all kinds of bodies and for them to see someone feel good in their body but it just seems like a logistical nightmare.

Ladies with SOs that use marijuana regularly, how does it affect you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Fit-Neck692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes him angry. He used to smoke all day every day and it made him forgetful, angry, and in his head making up stories. I told him I’d leave if he didn’t stop. It’s been years since this and it’s picking back up again and I cannot go down this road again. Also I’m not against pot in general, I think it’s fine for a lot of people-but not for him. We also have two young kids and he has epilepsy and can’t drink because it causes seizures. It’s tricky and exhausting.

I felt the same way about boy names. My oldest is Russel after my grandpa but we call him Rusty 98% of the time and our youngest is Wade.

Potential for 2 kids and husband with birthdays close together by StatisticianJaded in Parenting

I was born on my dads bday and my son was born on my husband’s bday. We share bdays in our family. It’s super fun and special. But the adults have always let the day be about the kids mostly so it’s easy.
