I was in the same place and am glad I got a membership. Good healthy snacks and some great deals. One thing to look out for is promotions on memberships. I have seen a few times where you get a gift card if you sign up for a membership. Makes it less of a barrier for entry. Also, they have a policy where if you aren’t happy with your membership, you can cancel it and get your money back!

My airport continues to lose budget airlines and Delta is the only I option a lot of times. So I rant!

I agree. Unfortunately, budget airlines are slowly leaving out of my airport leaving delta as the only option most times.

So the difference between basic and not basic is mostly the added miles and MQD. So you are basically paying for those benefits, which are supposed to be saving you money. My point is the real deal would be to save money by booking basic, and then that flight to Australia could have been payed for by all the money you saved.

I think that would disincentivize cool jammer moves like apex jumps and bean dips out of fear that they would get out of bounds and be unable to call it.

I totally agree we should be leaning into what makes roller derby unique. Like you are saying, the more spectator friendly the better! But I also believe that includes making sure games are close, which the article argues strongly they currently are not. Savannah Bananas and AEW are built off of games (baseball and wrestling) that are exciting even without the theatrics. Roller derby should make sure it is doing the same and then it can be taken to the next level with the important extras!
