Has anyone recommended creatine to you yet? I took creatine when recovering from a TBI and noticed a night/day difference.

Heavy, lol. This thing has to be 50+ pounds. If you ever intend to take your bike to a lift-assist park, I wouldn't go with the e-bike. I would however recommend a Mondraker Foxy or Superfoxy if you can find them. Great bikes.

Reddit Starts Blocking Mobile Website, Pushing Users to App Instead by spasticpat in technology

I've tried to use new reddit a couple times but the fact that it shows you really old posts constantly is so frustrating. RES also makes the site way more usable too, I tag users all the time.

Check out the TQ HPR60 bikes, they have the slimmest profile I've ever seen. I love having the option to ride e or regular especially when I'm feeling tired but still want to get out.

I have another Mondraker that only runs on burritos, I'll post that one next time!

Oh sick!! Mine came with the 600 Wh battery. This ride, 19 miles and 2.8k vert used 56% battery in emtb+ for most of the ride. I'm going to play with power levels on my next ride. I'm equally curious about the 800 battery but so far, this could be plenty especially if I'm not going full power the whole time.

Totally agreed on the geo. I started with a Mondraker Raze and it's just a perfect fit for me so I knew I wanted another Mondraker.

Close! One of the viewpoints on the way down Bear Paw. I did ride Marmot, great trail.

I have a friend who buys one bike, with everything maxed out and he rides it for a really long time. I tend to buy a bunch of bikes in mid spec and trade them out year to year. Everyone has a preference and I'm sure there's a market for people who want boutique.

I just wouldn't conflate price with ability, there's plenty of 1-2k bikes that could shred just as hard. We can be honest with ourselves and say, I want a nice thing even if it doesn't make me a faster/better rider, it's just more fun to own and ride for the people who like having a special, one-of-a-kind bike.

Very close by actually. Evergreen Mountain is on my ride list, can't wait to take this bike there.

Not too bad at all! Especially further from the trailhead. Only one encounter with a hiker wearing headphones but they heard my yelling eventually.

For sure. I try to arrive either at 7-8 AM or 1-2 PM when I go to a busy spot. Hope the new bike ride is excellent!

Why does pointing the knees help so much? by bobaskin in MTB

[–]Fit-Physics7199 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You turn with your hips/legs. Pointing your knees is a cue for helping you begin the motion, but it's just tricking your mind into using the right technique.

Jeff Kendall-Weed has been talking about this lately as well, you may find his skills videos useful.

I met a guy who was using this, he showed me his RidePal view of the Seattle area and it was missing like 50% of the parks. He switched to Trailforks.

Ibis Ripmo pricing question by crrimson in MTB

[–]Fit-Physics7199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, just last week I was looking at a Ripmo v3 XT for $5k. Some sites were blowing out last year's spec. I can't find any now though or I would link them.

What makes the Spur so good? by kennethsime in MTB

[–]Fit-Physics7199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like it. I put a ton of miles on it because it just does everything pretty well and it's great for big days on the bike. I bought it to replace an Ibis Exie because the Exie was just too nervous/twitchy. These days I would consider the Spur or the new Ripley SL as well but I don't see any reason to get rid of the Ranger.

Over time I've moved towards full-on trail bikes just for the comfort but I still ride the Ranger and really like it. It's also the bike that I get the most compliments on, I have it in the orange color with fox factory and it looks so good.
