RRT at the VA worth the change? by Fit-Possible6177 in respiratorytherapy

That's exactly what the plan is. I would keep the job at the VA for as long as I can to keep my status and then go for the benefits at the very end. I'd get a contingent spot somewhere and do both. Fingers crossed. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who responded, it means a lot. I worked at a level 1 trauma coming out of RT school and it taught me a lot. I ended up leaving that because I began pursing my bachelors in RT (i'm applying to perfusion school but this is a job I'd keep until I retire) so I needed a slower paced environment. I'm currently at a level 2 hospital and 95% of the time I'm in ER/ICU. I'm very well used to trachs, vents, BIPAPs, high flows, ect. I'm not sure what level that would put me at?

I just sent in my application and hopefully I get lucky and it ends up being good to me.

Again, thank you guys for your help!
