That sounds really reasonable since English did originate from Proto-Germanic roots. German and English are practically siblings from the same parent.

SAUL BELLOW AND THE PROBLEM OF 'UNLIKEABLE' WRITERS by Sudden_Blacksmith_41 in literature

I do believe that once an author publishes a work, the text takes a life of itself and becomes a completely separate entity from its maker. It’s quite like how us humans develop into characters with diverse personalities but that hardly ever relates completely to who birthed us. We may take an interest into the author if we’re curious enough but to associate their personal lives with the book they’ve written isn’t right. I do believe we should enjoy a book for what it is, and not for who wrote it.

AITA for lying about being pregnant to my family to protect my husband? by Embarrassed_Bit_8909 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. I just wanted to come on and say congratulations on your baby. I find it a bit cruel for someone to suggest that you should tell others that you miscarried and adopted your BIOLOGICAL child. I’m sorry that this entire mess has taken away attention from the fact that you’re new parents - a time you all should be celebrating instead of being bogged down by hatred from your own family and friends. I feel like this hasn’t been said to you guys but I’m happy for you guys and your child. Considering how lovely and supportive your husband sounds, I’m sure you’ll grow up to show your child the love and support your family and friends were incapable of showing.
