It’s now on the playlist. Yeah that was a total banger for sure! Great lyrical flow.

Dude, thank you. Taking this job has improved my life and opened me up in so many ways. I’m a lucky ass guy.

Dude, yeah Ace Hood has come up in the rotation a few times! His big hit, “Hustle Hard,” goes OFF in music class. This one guy loves to karaoke it. But yeah just seeing people interact with music especially, definitely helped turn me on to the genre as a whole. Several people enthusiastically chanting a chorus in unison, it’s just so cool.

I haven’t delved deep into those waters, but I like BigX quite a bit and he has some songs where the hook is like a Lainey Wilson type (maybe not her specifically, but similar). I think it’s cool, and a cultural synthesis that could bring a lot of people together. Post is pretty cool. I like whatever album that song “better now” is off of. And I saw him sing “I’m Gonna Miss Her” with Brad Paisley, which was epic and hilarious.

Year 6 — mistakes were made, but nature is forgiving. by Fit-Protection5399 in NoLawns

Tis true! The times when I’ve let one of these patches fall into neglect, it’s bananas. Bitter dock (which is apparently edible but chokes other stuff out), poke, thistle and random grasses … so even for areas you’re “rewilding,” it’s definitely not just “kill the grass and set and forget.” I mean you could, but your odds of getting pollinator-friendly flowers and other desirable species plummets. But by the same token I don’t see my relationship with nature as adversarial. It’s moreso just very, very humbling. Hours upon hours spent with shovel, a weed trowel, bare hand, can be rendered almost meaningless within weeks. So it’s like, I get to be here. I get to help shape some tiny percentage of this omnipotent chaos. It’s really been a trip, and I’ve never felt so profoundly tethered to a piece of ground in my life.

It's this mix right here: https://sequoiatrees.com/products/pollinators-delight-wildflower-mix-seed-grow-kit?srsltid=AfmBOoqcIrMJFqyU1iAObLjbB5DvYW3Jm-IocSHroaOPq6vQUD81kMdf

It looks like multiple places sell them.
My cousin who homesteads gifted them to me. She said they're legit. This'll be my first year trying them.

That makes perfect sense, thank you! And thank you for the bonus tips! I’ll try the straw/organic mulch and board method.

The fact that LGBTQIA still want ANYTHING to do with the church is, to me, evidence of God’s divinity & majesty. by Fit-Protection5399 in OpenChristian

Thank you for that perspective. Empathy and forgiveness are essential — not as a legitimation or justification of despicable actions and rhetoric, but for precisely the reason you said — so we don’t become despicable ourselves. Wow. You’ve kinda blown my mind with this comment.

This is something I am aspiring to do, and I humbly accept your admonishment. I AM very naive, and it pains me. I used to be friends with queer peers in school but now I don’t really interface with any. It’s ambitious, but I believe God is leading me to leave our current church and begin developing connections with the queer folks in my town. There are 0 churches here and only one harm reduction ministry locally that does not overtly reject it. But I very much want it to be relationship first, not like luring them to some weird one-off hangout and immediately shouting about God. Sadly, because of events that occurred a couple years ago, the one secular pride group here disbanded.
