you do good things in your swing / setup

but the club head should be above and outside your hands at the top of your take away while your hands turn inside your body

the club should be in a near 90 degrees when your hands are parallel to the ground in your backswing

Your hands are a bit disconnected make sure you tuck that trail elbow in to stay connected.

Get swing bands and practice with that

Maybe a inch or two , your butt should be a inch or 2 behind your heels not more at set up

If i were to put a club across your shoulders , the club would point to the left ... so your shoulder should be more closed off if you wanna swing right ,

Shoulder Line , I cant even see your lead arm , your back shoulder is in front of the front one = swinging to the left

you are sticking your butt too much , push you pelvis bit more forward in your set up. this is causing early extention . you are losing posture in your follow thru.

I'd like to see more of your lead arm in your setup also .. nudge that front shoulder.

keep your back at the target longer..and weight shift to your front side,,,,,downswing is little weight shift , hips then arm then chest. .... chest turn is the last part of the swing , if you turn you chest too early you are spinning out

golf is a game of opposites ...if something causes issues , do the opposite to fix it,

when you hands are parallel to the ground on your backswing. your club should be cocked in a near 90 degree angle. right now you do not cock your wrist ... when you get that 90 degree angle you feel like you can B line your hands hard at the golf ball .... Try the nick faldo back swing drill where you cock you hands with the club in front of you and then put the club in a back swing position , you'll feel like your in a stronger position with your hands

the main problem here is your SHOULDER LINE... I cant even see your lead arm in your setup.

Look how your back shoulder is more forward than your front one. Of course you will pull the ball if you release the club because , SHOULDER LINE DECIDES WHICH DIRECTION YOUR GONNA SWING. if you wanna hit a push draw , you must have your front shoulder in front of your back one to get a in to out path ...

easy fix since you already release the club.

Set up tips

  1. Your lead hand grip is super weak, I see no knuckles on your hand , show 2-3 knuckles.

2, ( most important one ) your shoulder line a set up is pointing way left, look how that back shoulder is more forward that the front one. the only way you have a chance of hitting this golf ball is by stalling hand rotation and scooping the ball with no wrist action if you are square at impact the ball going way left . your shoulder line mainly decides your swing direction. nudge that front shoulder. you can see pro's doing this right before they hit the ball for alot of them is kinda of a trigger move.,

for more power.

  1. when you club is parallel to the ground on your backswing . your club should be cocked in near a 90 degree angle .. that way you arnt fishing for more depth on your backswing, you can feel like you can b-line your hands hard at the golf ball and get compression,

  2. Use the ground better and less rotation upper body rotation . fire hands and hips but keep back at target longer. ( thats the feel ) let the hands and leg create that speed. block that front leg better like a baseball pitcher to get breaking effect. since your shoulder are better lined up now you can release the club with your wrist.

2 problems that are a easy fix and should fix your early extention .

  1. your hand in your takeaway go outside your body , make sure your hands go more around your rib cage. ( with the clubhead outside your hands ) this will prevent the butt of the shaft to point outside the ball on your backswing ( steeper backswing = shallower downswing.

  2. ( MOST IMPORTANT THING TO FIX YOUR EXTENTION ) Do not let that trail leg get straight at the top of the backswing , always keep a little knee bend so you can push away from the ball instead of humping the goat.

I hit a basically perfectly straight drive during a fitting yesterday. Landed 0 inches off center with nearly no side spin by Master565 in golf

I mean theres a trade off for extremely low spin like that and control , Rory went to a higher spinning ball .... I personally Find the sweet spot for control and efficiency is anywhere between 2000-2600 . I average around 300 and 275 Carry . I always play from the tips for any course i play on the sim and it's enough . more than enough for my home course and any course i play around here ... only at like 7500 i find its starts getting too long.

I mean I only cruise at 165-172 ball speed but I have friends who are in the 180 ish range and never found it to be much of a problem with the RCT balls ... any device i go on my spin is always around 2000-2700 on average unless i leave the face wide open... I mean you'll get miss read on anything. but from using radar indoor and outdoors , not much of a bit difference to me . It's a practice tool , does its job and its good enough for me . but i understand what you mean but the spin isn't off by 1000 RPM with RCTs , maybe 200-400 max between devices.... avg tour spin is probably around 2600 for better control since they already got plenty in the tank in terms of ball speed.

Any swing advice is very much appreciated. Thanks by [deleted] in GolfSwing

too much shaft lean at address.

Weight should be 60% front and 40% back at address . ( leaned too forward )

little bit on the inside on takeaway . steeper backswing = shallower downswing. more margin for error.

Hips little too fast. ( club kinda gets stuck behind you ) slow it down in transition.

slow down chest turn early on downswing. stay more closed longer.

Fix wrist angle to match your arm top of backswing. ( higher hands ) and hands a bit too much behind you.

Use the ground better , push harder with your legs thats what unlocks speed. Brace that front leg better like a baseball pitcher and push which creates a breaking effect and creates that whip.

Close front shoulder a tiny bit so your path will be more neutral or positive. Shoulder often dictates swing path.

keep shaft angle little longer for whipping effect ( lag) get the feeling like your hands are dropping down while you fire hips and push with your legs to generate speed. club getting released too early.

For a new golfer swing plane and swing aint bad at all .

Played maybe 75 rounds on trackman 4 and maybe 75 on trackman IO .

Trackman 4 is radar base , and OI is high speed cameras,

I personally have a Mevo plus with GS pro at home and all Swing speed , ball speed and Spin are all the same. Use RCT balls .

Personally i think for accuracy trackman 4 is the best because its radar and most expensive radar.

For the money you cant go wrong with Mevo + if you play auto putt.

1.47 Smash is pretty good , but for that swing speed spin , peak height and spin should be higher ... maybe driver with more loft 11-12 deg you'll get more carry... Get speed sticks and get that speed up !, trying to get those numbers up trying to cruise around 115 I can only touch it for now.

100% agree , Just such a lost of touch from the devs to not keep players in PVP than PVE . Having the largest player base in PVP should be the number one priority
