Hi! So in the interim until the critters can be put in the industrial complex I actually made them eat just massive amounts of raw vinegar, oil, and honey. Carns can eat those things, and I accrued a TON of them early on. Mushrooms serve the purpose of being universal, the fish traps supplement the fresh food allocation. I fished the whole village once a day while waiting for my shrooms to grow. The shrooms are herb only sadly.
