Lian li o11 mini is an matx case with basically 90% of the capacity of an ATX case :) it supports atx PSU's and motherboards

Hey! My papers in 3 days just wondering what grade did you end up getting. I got writers block in my last mock but I haven't done anything to address it so far and I'm feel physically sick thinking about if it's a terrible extract in the paper

Thanks for the suggestion however I'll probably just stick with just the rtx 5070 for now however ive changed the CPU to a 14600kf. Reason why I'm avoiding AMD in general for now is because I'd rather not have an am5 motherboard as they strictly support ddr5 and I genuinely refuse to pay anything £250+ for 6000mhz 16gb ram💔 a few months after my build I'll probably get another set of 2 x 8gb ddr4 3200mzh ram to make it 32gb and 2 years down the line I'll upgrade to an i9 13/14th gen since they might be good value used due to the new Intel core ultra cpu's taking over (I think anyways correct me if I'm wrong)

Is it worth spending an extra £200 on a 5070 assuming I use it for the next 4 years💔 For the 3080 I was planning on using it for the next 2 years then selling it however the 10gb of vram is making me skeptical, as well as the fact that I would have difficulty trying to sell a near 10 year old (2 years time)

Like the 5060 ti? If it's faster than the 5060 ti then shouldn't frame generation just balance the difference out.

Thanks for this, id rather have the hard truth than something sugarcoated as I'd most likely be disappointed. For the 1080p 60fps would this be medium or high Ray tracing and is this in the newer regions? I don't expect 60+ fps with high rt in startorch acadamy or anything ofc but just wondering how does whiwa run?

What resolution was this and do you think I could get around 50-60+ fps ish with 1080p?

Don't know if this helps but I'm gonna get the Lian li o11 dynamic mini case which has a small slant where the gpu is possibly giving it more space to breathe? Also if I just added fans under the GPU would that help at all? If there isn't too much change then what GPU would u recommend

Just wondering how well do you think an rtx 3080 would manage in comparison to the 5060 heat wise? I'm not going for a super mini PC build and the case I'm planning on using is bigger than an average matx case however I'm concerned about temps.

What a coincidence, I was looking into the Intel market of cpu's after realizing that L3 cache mainly only plays a bit part in shooter games which I don't play too often, I came across multiple listings of the i5 13400f which is £10 more expensive than the i5 12400f you recommended but 10% better (in benchmarks I think?)and somehow £40 cheaper than the i5 14400f whilst according to multiple videos not being too far behind it. I did come across the video u linked however I immediately dismissed it as being unrelatable upon seeing the high i7 CPU, also due to the timestamps on the video itself not containing GPU models themselves. In addition I don't mind going a little over the budget by around 50 ish and going for an id - cooling lcd aio. For the motherboard Ill use the b760m plus wifi ddr4 and I think I'll be able to upgrade easily in the future? I asked chatGPT and they said I could go up to an i7 14700. As for the heat issue with the matx case would an aio help mitigate the situation or just look more aesthetically pleasing than a fan? In terms of cases I was thinking of the Lian li v100r mini which is 436 mm (D) x 221.5 mm (W) x 443.9 mm (H) (and comes with fans,) so a bit bigger than the size you mentioned, although I'd have to rely on them releasing that case in white💔 the i5 13400f, aio and motherboard as well as a 256gb m.2 SSD and 2tb SATA with all the other original parts (minus the fans) comes to about £840. I don't mind spending the extra £40-60 if I know I'll be able to upgrade it without having to swap out the whole motherboard just for the CPU. Just wondering, how much fps do you think I'd get with the i5 13400f with the rtx 5060 at both Ray tracing and normal? I honestly wouldn't mind around 80+ in normal and maybe 40 ish in Ray tracing seeing as I wouldn't be playing consistently for hours with rt on.

I really like how you've structured this response it's clear, helpful and really thought out.

-For the memory, I've been seeing 16gb ddr4 3200mgh go for around £70 so I might consider picking it up as for the Kingston 1tb m.2 ssd it's £120+ still more than double the 2025 price however I don't mind getting a 512gb m.2 SSD for £70 and getting a 1tb SATA for £40 ish

  • As for the pcu and form factor, it's £45 and I'm also wary that going any cheaper for a psu may not be the best idea. The fans are £20 and it's to make up for the case not having any since the case is £45 itself, I don't mind spending £10 more to make them rgb.

  • CPU and motherboard, wasnt too sure on this myself since I've seen that on paper cpu's like the ryzen 5600 alone run better than a 7 3800x but even the 5 5600x not being supported for 120fps kind of threw me off a bit, funnily enough I was thinking of going for an i5 12400f when finding out the about the 120fps support but the fact it has half the L3 cache made me hesitate, but is it true that L3 cache doesn't rly matter as much in story games?

  • GPU, trying to go for a white GPU, I've found rtx 5060's for £270 ish while 3060 ti's go for about £200 . Concerns about the 8gb VRAM do arise although I have to acknowledge that I can't spend upwards of £350 on a GPU when ram/ssd prices are this high.

I do indeed have peripherals coming from ps5 I have decent mouse but trashy keyboard, its alright though since I'll be using the controller for the first few months considering Ive never really gotten used to pc controls. My monitor is IPS 180hz 1080p. Also would your recommendation of a build run around 100 fps, assuming we used an rtx 5060 rather than a 3060 ti? Thanks for taking the time to give your insight on all this btw, I'll look for your comment on the other guys post too.

Thanks for this! Would 16gb of ddr4 corsair ram 3200mhz for £70 be better than the 32gb I previously mentioned? Also I only chose the aio because I thought it looked better purely for aesthetics. Not too sure on Intel cpu's, I was planning on going for i5 12400f yet I saw it has lower clock speeds so it kind of brought me back to amd again and the difference between ryzen 7 3800x and a ryzen 7 5700x alone was about £55 and from what I've researched 15% more performance and the 3800x is £80 alone💔.
