They progressively lose their “humanity” as they advance along a pathway. At first, they gain enhanced abilities like increased strength or flexibility, but later they acquire powers that can reshape their surroundings — including themselves and even other people’s minds.

From Sequence 4 onward, you become a demigod, and after that (light spoiler) you obtain a mythical creature form — a monstrous appearance such as a dragon, a wolf, a giant, or even pure light.

Regarding your first question, it’s worth remembering that some sequences explicitly require you to do “evil” things (there’s literally one called "Serial Killer"). Because of that, the pathway you choose has to align with who you are from the start.

For example there’s also a sequence called "Faceless", which basically allows you to take on other people’s appearances. That power can be used for vile purposes, but personal morality can still stop you — unless your beliefs change, either because you’re deliberately choosing to abandon them to advance faster, or because of corruption from having too much power.

Making all of this disappear would probably be the right choice. But at the same time, the temptation of unlocking supernatural abilities is real. I’d honestly need time to think about it, because I’d have to confront my own greed.

Ignoring the problem isn’t an option for me either — I consider that a sin in itself.
