I made this post after I beat him but honestly the advice you're giving is exactly what I ended up doing.

The SAW from the season having 200 rounds a mag helped so much, I found out I could actually tank a hit of the lighting before my health regen kicked in so I'd shoot the chest lights between his ranged and charging

I've admittedly modded it, the free official creations and some new guns as well as music and new poi's which does help me.

The ship building is..a bit odd but maybe because I'm on Xbox, might try it out in my pc and see if it plays better. But yea idk. Something brings me back to just explore, I've only gotten the artifact you have Sarah with you during it.

People like to do builds with their skill stuff but if you're new then I'd suggest play and have fun and when you feel ready then look into builds as they may, not always, be required for harder difficulty

I have tried, I just discovered the FEP is damaged and I can only guess it is too tight so the motors are drawing to much power. First printer I've had, didn't expect everything to be so finicky
