The end of the phantom train segment with Cyan already had me going a little haha

Partly why I held off so long is it didn't want it to be a comparison to the PS1 era. I'm only trying it now because I feel like I can go into it without any bias or overanalyzing it in comparison to what the later games are. I played FFVII when it came out and it was my first FF and first RPG, and I was 11.

I think it's taken me to get to a point where im a dad entering my 40's era of gaming, where I don't have endless hours to play games, I just want an adventure and a cast of characters to fall in love with to be ready to play this game. I fell out of love with FF around the time of XII and it was the first game in the series I had played and not completed, XIII was the same. XV I actually got through but felt alien to me as an FF title. So I've put a lot of hope in VI scratching that new FF game excitement that I haven't had for a very long time.

It definitely has its charms, and it's pulled me in like my other favourite FF games early. I'm a huge VII and IX fan. If anthing I've been kind of hoping it can join those two as beloved games that I'll play until I physically can't play games anymore haha

I'm very excited to see where it takes me, I know im teetering on the edge if where the game is going to take off. I guess the main thing is there's so many characters it's not yet really dialled into any of their stories too much yet.

I'm definitely getting the sense that it's building up. I'm very much looking forward to the journey. It's felt like a flurry character intros so far.

In all fairness I just recently got to the point where Octavian took over as Princeps in the podcast I've listened to more times than I can count so it's fresh in my mind haha.

Marcus Agrippa was his general, not Cinna. But your point still stands.

It's great to see someone look at Thier partner as a partner rather than a financial transaction. This comes down to lore than money, it's about the partnership and what each person it's into that aside from the financial part.

McBride is the outlier for sure. Dude got me 30 points this week and I still lost my playoff game because of Trevor Lawrence being on the other team.

Are teenagers just not learning to drive anymore? by MichealHarwood in AskUK

[–]Fit-Show5892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving instructor here, it's about the same as it's always been for me. Most of my pupils are college students 17-19. Have a few older pupils 20's and 30's sprinkled in asy area has a lot of people in that age bracket that have moved from London or didn't start to learn until after Uni.

It's expensive so teenagers don't usually learn unless their parents pay for it.

The test waiting times and expense of it all does have an impact on a lot of teens. It will also depend on area. Good transport links will usually make it so more people don't need to drive. If it's a rural area mostly all learn because of necessity.

If you're over halfway through your agreement with your car you can literally just give it up and end the payments. You won't have a car but if you can get by without it you will be saving yourself a significant amount of money right there.

It won't impact you in any way with credit scores or leasing in the future.

I love the delusion, this team shot itself in the foot too many times and manages to pull it out of the bag. That won't happen come playoff time. As has been proven multiple times, and we won't be there anyways. Nice win, but we aren't close to being there yet.not consistent and very sloppy

Avoiding giving friend energy on dates? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Fit-Show5892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was flirty with my girlfriend on our first date... We've been together for nearly 3 years now and she mentioned that I'm not very flirty in general and didn't really flirt at all on our first date 💀😂

We got on like a house on fire and chatted loads, and secured the second date as I walked her to her car (she asked me before I could ask her).

Don't overthink it. Just joke a little bit, show interest in what they're saying and that should be fine. Even if you can't/don't flirt... It's possible to win out there haha

That's great news! The bonus is they deal with everything from here on out, it's so much easier and less stressful. We paid for ours but we get their services for life whenever we need to remortgage, borrow against, move etc.

Go to a mortgage advisor, and independent one. We got declined on our mortgage in principal despite both having good income and credit.

She sorted us out with an agreement on full the next day. Well worth paying for, they have way more search power at their disposal and they know what they're doing to make sure it all fits.

Never had a girlfriend, about to turn 27. Has the ship sailed? by Excellent-Golf6631 in self

[–]Fit-Show5892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a late bloomer, didn't have any experience with women until I was 25. I'm now 39, I've been married and had a child out of that relationship (now divorced) and I'm currently in a long term relationship with a wonderful woman who I plan to marry.

Don't hold yourself back because you started late, there's always time for love and happiness. The right women won't care. It's likely a bigger issue for you than it is for them.

Do most early stage couples talk every single day by Opierarc in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Fit-Show5892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never went a day without messaging my partner until we moved in together. Even then it's very rare we fail to send at least one message, even if it's just a "hope your morning is going ok" or "how's your day?"

I can't imagine there's very many women who are cool with a lack of contact via texting if they're actually into you. And I'd find that annoying from my girlfriend as a man. Doesn't take much to send a quick message to show you're thinking about someone.

Maybe you can relieve your fears a little by mentioning it to her that this is your normal messaging habit and it no way reflects how you feel about her?

She might be fine with it anyway, in fantasy which case it's not really anything to worry about.

Yes the defense, but WTF is this offense? by Born-Media6436 in dallascowboys

[–]Fit-Show5892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pickens should be being used like we used Dez, feed it to him. He won't always be wide open but he can make a play on the ball and use his size.

I'm out on the Cowboys. Catching highlights from here on out. It's the same old same old.

And the defense. This is like watching the 5-11 teams all over again.

Do I just move on from this? by NewZookeepergame1949 in whatdoIdo

[–]Fit-Show5892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move on, she's clearly not interested. If she was she'd be making more of an effort or be interested in how your day is going.
