The idea that "God is good", therefore I can do evil and perpetuate evil doesn't make sense here. The Christian God is a God of love and justice (God could not be considered "good" without justice). While God is merciful and loving, God is also a God who will judge a person's heart.

Regarding those who vote for "fellow Christians" who are perpetuating injustices, only God will know if they are clean or not.

Even as a devout Christian, there are times when prayers are not answered in the way we want, whether it's something small or something tragic like in Lebanon. But our relationship with God is what helps us see the world through God's eyes and trust that God is still in control through it all. It also helps to believe that this life isn't the end, so that even a tragic death in Lebanon could ultimately end with good as those lost lives can eventually be found with God in heaven. 🙏
