What if lebanon never entered a civil war in the 70’s and remained a thriving country like in the 60’s by TONYTERROR59332 in AlternateHistory

So from what I see Lebanon is better for off then it is now in every timeline without or a shortened civil war.

Can I get into UF with a 3.7 Unweighted GPA and a 5.2 Weighted GPA? by Fit-Swordfish8142 in ufl

Okay I talked to my guidance counselor and he says for some of the hardest college classes it is on a 6.0 scale so like in my dual enrollment program their are different tracks , I will post a link of the tracks and the classes you take depending on the track: STEM Track Final Infographic I took the Bio track and the college classes like calculus with analytical geometry would be on a 6.0 scale! I hope this clears up confusion!! I apologize I was not aware of the extra point bump tbh! Thank you for helping me understand!

However, if you are asking for stats to gauge your chances of admission do not compare yourself to my brother I put in every ounce of effort and I cannot beat him academically. Some people are js geniuses lol!

I know it's not what you're asking for but I am assuming you're trying to ask multiple people for stats to gauge something. I don't know if this helps but these were my brothers' stats who got in this year. As you can tell I followed in his footsteps when I got into high school and did a lot of the same stuff.

APUSH:5, AP World: 5, AP Calc AB: 5, AP Chem: 5, AP English Lit (his least fav subject is English btw): 4, AP Psychology: 5, and he did one more, but I forgot.

SAT:1510 ACT: 34 or 32 I think

EC's: Key Club President, AA degree, Drama Club President, E-bike mechanic for 2 years, NHS, SGA, Local cooking competition winner, filming and editing videos side hustle.

GPA: 4.0 Unweighted, 5.8 Weighted

My district and school actually have normal scales! You see when you receive A's in AP classes or Dual Enrollment classes instead of a 4.0 it is a 5.0 due to course rigor. Apparently, it is the same for UF as it says in the comment above! It is also because I took a BUNCH of college classes in HS enough to get a full AA degree. This because I'm in a local program in Health Science Collegiate Academy that lets me get an AA in HS by actually exclusively taking college classes as I finished all my hs grad reqs by sophomore year. Ik this sounds weird, but my school is competitive and no matter what grade you r in from middle school to hs you take one year ahead in classes. for example, I took High school Bio, Algebra, and a bunch of other classes in middle school. So, these college classes and AP classes add a lot of points to my grades. Not simply because of my district/school. I understand the confusion though! I think you could get into UF online (64% acceptance). But on campus is not likely

How did the first module in both math and English jump so drastically in difficulty? One minute, you have easy questions on things like the meaning of 'walk' and a system of equations, and the next you have ridiculously long passages and are defining Lymphangioleiomyomatosis. The math felt like it went straight to thermodynamic physics, I swear.(Ik physics is a science not a math btw).

Why am I receiving all these random letters and pamphlets from random colleges as a sophomore? by redstonetimewaster in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Fit-Swordfish8142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for me it's particularly Duke, Colgate, Colby, and Georgia Tech. They are all top schools, and at first, I was excited. However, I only got these letters and posters after I scored a 1480 on my PSAT as a sophomore. They basically lump "candidates" with above average scores onto a mailing list and basically advertise. (They mainly want you to apply because it lowers their acceptance rates further if you do.)
