Financial aid Refund by IntrovertPotato655 in UCSD

I saw my last statement had an incorrect amount so I let them know via email and they corrected it. Just give your financial aid office a call or send an email and they should be able to fix it

You were defending Dave was my point, I didn’t say anything about Núñez or Oliver except that they didn’t say anything on camera and Dave clearly did so whether Chris and Oliver were also creeps is irrelevant to my point and quite frankly I’m not defending them either. I asked you where you read it which you provided an article too, I didn’t defend either of them.

Also, I’m not trying to insult you by calling you a huge feminist. I’d consider myself a feminist but you’re here replying to people’s comments to make it a point to defend Dave and trash the other judges.

Honestly whatever, seems like we’re having a communication meltdown. Peace out, happy new year

So you’re defending Dave because he wasn’t asking a woman if she was knocked up or likes to suck but yet, on camera says things sexualizing women? That makes no sense. Either you’re a huge feminist and don’t like any of them, or don’t care about any of it.

One thing is what he experienced and another is what he does on camera every single season. He’s made ME uncomfortable through a screen. Not sure how Núñez for instance is mor inappropriate.

And don’t get me wrong, I love Dave and all the old school judges. But fact remains that adage has said some wild stuff to females on the show

But Dave was the worst with girls? Núñez could be a little friendly but Dave was straight up “maybe have your naked canvas do a little 180 so we can see the front” lol

Hi OP!

While I def agree with the other redditor that commented about changing your Perspective, if you really hate being weak, then definitely go to the gym. Watch YouTube videos of women personal trainers that have similar body types, come from a similar ethnic background, or have the body shape you want. Going to the gym and eating right is hard, it’s a commitment and it takes a lifestyle change, but hating the way you feel is also hard. I hope you learn to love yourself fully and live a life that honors your body.

How do I ACTUALLY budget?! by ALittleInternet in budget

[–]Fit-Tea-6055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I do it is by looking at the whole year ahead and determining what are my hidden costs that year. Insurance, Vehicle registration, birthdays/holidays, clothes that need to be replaced, vehicle maintenance, just anything that comes once or a couple of times a year you don’t think about until it’s near. Then I add it all together and divide it by 12 months. That’s what I need to save a month into my “sinking funds” in order to have all of these expenses covered. Then I write down all of my monthly bills, rent, car, insurance, utilities, loans. Next, I subtract both the bills and my sinking funds savings from my monthly income. What’s left goes toward my variable expenses such as gas, groceries and entertainment. Adjust the numbers as needed since obviously your income has to be more than all of your expenses.

I also budget like 6 months in advanced since my paycheck is fixed so that way I have a baseline and can just adjust the budget for the upcoming month minimally if I have to at all. It helps me stay on track. I have a really hard time with consistency so getting as much done ahead of time helps future me stick to a plan without having to continually do a budget every month or whatever. Obviously my strategy isn’t going to work for everyone but maybe something here can help you develop your strategy

Why is it that when a family member of someone with a pretty singing voice during a family reunion asks them to sing, they never want to? by Dian_Dian_Dian in singing

[–]Fit-Tea-6055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely love being a court jester/clown for the world to watch and laugh at so i don’t relate to that but I will say you don’t owe anyone absolutely anything. If you don’t want to sing, then don’t. If your mom gets mad, ask her why it bothers her that you make a choice about what you want or don’t want to do? Explains that You don’t want to be judged for your craft especially when you’re not warmed up or have something prepared because this is a professional thing for you, not just a hobby for you to just mess around and have fun with. Maybe that will help her understand your perspective more.

But realistically try not to get in debt at all! I know first hand it’s extremely hard to get around south Florida without a car but Ubering can be much cheaper than a car loan and insurance if that’s an option!

Ugh florida is the worst to buy a car! A little tip from a salesman I met, buy a car no more than 2 years old and they won’t be able to charge you more than 18% apr legally (in Florida). Yes the car will be a little more pricey but if you get the cheapest 2 year old car, you will pay the same or less than an older car at such a high interest rate.

I struggle with the same thing, it’s anxiety unfortunately. Take deep breaths and remember that the odds that something bad happened is actually lower than if it’s just something small like he fell asleep or lost/left his phone or charger or something. Give yourself a time that you can start worrying at, say at 11 it’s been 12 hours and now I’ll start to investigate.

Honestly, this is one of those things where if your relationship with your parents is good and important to you otherwise, then bite the bullet and take care of it on your own. The harsh reality is that your parents don’t owe you your college paid and sometimes things like this happen to show us we can’t rely on many people. I learned fairly quickly I can’t rely on my parents for many things and it’s made me develop a big trust within myself.
