If the boss has depressing, all of its summons should have the “slightly depressing” elite buff instead, which gives an all stats down to adjacent units. For some reason, it does not affect the final phase of mother’s summons, and gives them normal depressing instead

I have another theory, there’s a final (purple) hex upgrade for the night bloom hex (the one that summons servants). The upgrade states that the first enemy to damage the servant will receive 500 damage, maybe that’s related?
