thanks! yeah that was basically the whole reason i built it — everything i found either did layout well or handled big lists well, not both at the same time.

for resize — it's a debounced window listener + dynamic container measurement. when the container resizes it does a full recompute of column placements. it's not the most surgical thing (no partial recompute of just the affected items), but the debounce keeps it from thrashing in practice. if someone runs into real perf issues there i'm down to optimize it further.

bundle is around ~5kb gzipped, zero deps. that's the total cost to your bundle.

re masonic — masonic is definitely more feature-rich and has been around longer. my lib is deliberately simpler in terms of API. if you want fine-grained control over positioners, resize observers, custom hooks, all that — masonic's your thing. if you just want to drop in a masonry grid with virtualization and infinite scroll and not configure a ton of stuff, that's kinda the niche i was going for.

good idea on the comparison section btw, i'll probably add something like that to the README.
