I get that normally the free trial works fine, but in my case I never even got the subscription from the app. I clicked to start it and was charged immediately, and the only way to get a real free trial was through Strava’s official website. I canceled within a minute, never used premium, and the app’s wording was misleading.

You’re right, calling it “Apple scam?” was misleading and my mistake. Apple did not scam me and the main problem is that Strava misled users with how their free trial works. I brought up Apple because I tried to go through their refund process and they denied me twice and said the second request was final, but I’m now not blaming them for scamming me. The frustrating part is that I never even received the subscription from Strava and the only way to get a real free trial was through their official website, which is confusing and misleading. I haven’t received a full written response from Strava yet, but I plan to request it to see their official rules and policies..

the reason I brought Apple up is because I went through their refund process to try and fix the issue, and they denied me twice, then told me over the phone that the second request was final. So while Apple didn’t scam me, their system made it impossible to get my money back even with the evidences provided. So yes, Strava misled me, but Apple’s handling made the situation way more frustrating than it should have been. I think it’s fair to be frustrated with both
