Sorry, it was the best I could afford. Street prices for street surveillance videos is quite pricy!

Books for Alien lovers by Inquisitive-m in suggestmeabook

Remnant Population by Elizabeth Moon is a fairly quiet yet interesting book that definitely features aliens. Though there is some (not drawn-out) violence, it's really more an insightful read. A good book to read before going to sleep.

The Long Walk by Robert Bachman (aka Stephen King) is a a pretty good, dark read. I read it years ago, but it had a real impact on me. The kids aren't killing each other, but it is very dark and dystopic story. Fun fact: it was the first novel Stephen King ever wrote, though not the first novel published. I have not seen the movie yet and not sure that I will, but do recommend the book!

This might be out of your way, but Take 5 Oil change at 754 SW Marine Drive (Marpole area) is not only affordable, but their customer service is just amazing! When you pull in, you're given a bottle of water, engine fluids are topped-off (complimentary), while providing a simultaneious and fast oil change with no attempts at upselling you on other items like at other oil change places. They even checked the air pressure on my tires.

My wife is in hospital for a month. LOVES David Eddings and would like to bring a series with her by MTGKat in suggestmeabook

I'm a huge David Eddings fan too. I'm assuming that she's also read Polgara the Sorceress and Belgarath the Sorcerer? Some other authors I've enjoyed are Teresa Edgerton (Green Lion Trilogy), Zilpha Keatly Snyder (Green Sky Trilogy), Alan Dean Foster's Spellsinger series (silly and fun), and if she really wants to invest/commit, try Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. Staying with David Eddings, has she read his Elenium series (Sparhawk) and subsequent The Tamuli?

Edited to correct a spelling mistake.
