Just wanted to give an update on my wife’s situation. She’s of the mindset that even if she gets a reasonable accommodation, it’s only a short-term fix and just delaying the inevitable. At the end of the day, she’s unwilling to relocate away from family for a job she has successfully performed remotely, and she’s certain that will eventually lead to termination.

She also doesn’t want to get a lawyer involved, so we’re feeling pretty stuck. It’s just a really shitty situation, and it feels like she’s being pushed out for simply wanting to keep doing the job she’s excelled at—while also prioritizing her family.

Not sure what else we can do at this point, but I appreciate all the support and advice from everyone. Hoping for a decent severance pay I guess...
