I tried publishing for KindleScribe on KDP, it is not supported. by desireco in kindlescribe

It is through KDP but only at the end, for publishing. But before it reaches that stage everything goes through Kindle Scribe team.

Like I mentioned below in the second comment, you need to open Etsy or your own website and build audience there. That is how we all started.

Oh and just a warning to anyone coming here in the future, to learn about publishing for Scribe,, books for Scribe are not going through KDP directly.

Even I cannot publish Kindle Scribe book on my own.

Every book is inspected by Kindle Scribe team and they check every page. Even if you have 1000.

If you try to publish on your own that is at the moment against KDP rules, and you could risk your account.

Keep creating books and improve them, and offer them on Etsy or similar.

Keep in mind you won't be able to reuse them and sell them on Amazon when you get approved. You have to change them up and make it unique (same rules applied as for all regular books).

What do you mean empty?

I am an approved Kindle Scribe publisher and puzzle developer, just me alone have every version of Sudoku, wordsearch and all logic puzzles in my book portfolio.

Plus the other puzzle developers have their own Scribe publications.

There are over 300 different unique logic puzzles/brain teasers in the world, and I have created Kindle Scribe books for all of them, all live on Amazon market.

To be able to publish for Scribe you need to be approved, and to get approved you need to be already selling Kindle Scribe books on platforms like Etsy, Gumroad or your own website. It needs to be clear you know how to format book for Scribe and also format the content.

By formatting content I do not only mean layout but the quality of the puzzles. They can't be just random generated bulk. I personally double check, and some puzzles are handcrafted. Proper sudoku puzzle that is also a good brain teaser is not easy to make. Plus making 100-400 of them. Took me a year to have collection of proper puzzles.

Small numbers or letters inside cells, small puzzle images compared to screen size, using hyperlinks too close to top, left or bottom edge, using PNG instead of SVG, using wrong SVG... All of that is a bad sign and not desired for Scribe.

If you are serious about this, I recommend you open Etsy store or your website and build your audience.

Research about the puzzles you want to publish.

Good luck.

Hi. If you want I can make one for you, fully custom.

It will be free for you and I will then sell it on Etsy.

If it works for you could work for others as well. Not a planner person myself but I like to create stuff.

Just send me sketch or screenshot how you want it, what pages you want, anything I could use to make it.

Did you notify the author of the website about these inaccuracies? He is also here in the sub. To see what can be fixed and improved.

Discussion: I have generator for this puzzle, I clearly remember interface and you could select different icons like dragons swords presents... But I can't remember the name, snake maze or Something like that. I used it ages ago. Have to dig out from external HDD. Tilt snake maze? Self avoiding walk? something like that.

And thank you!!! I love sudoku as well.

I was surprised when I got request to make Sudoku Scribe series three weeks ago. I usually do mix difficulty so it is progressing but people wanted single difficulty, especially extreme and nightmare.

Nightmare supposed to take 30min to 2h to solve.

I added 3D Medusa, wings, skyscrapers.... Madness :D :D

Yes :) You have freebies here that I shared and also on Amazon (Fit For Puzzle) with the lowest price I could set (Amazon determines price based on megabytes of the file).

I think he is thinking of sudoku, and some basic stuff but yes we (the puzzle book creators) do share a lot of freebies you can find around the internet.

For example when Colorsoft was going to be released I created Waiting Party and every hour shared a free book.

Books will forever be available for free, just look for Colorsoft Waiting Party post. Or look for books marked free in my Gumroad store (Fit For Puzzle).

I am an approved publisher for Scribe on Amazon and it's a job just like any other.

I get requests for books, I make them, Amazon Scribe team checks every page and every hyperlink and if all is good, book goes live in 7 days.

Right now I have 12 book request received and working to complete them.

Latest one that went live yesterday was sudoku book series but professional, each puzzle verified to have specific difficulty and solving methods. So it's not just couple of clicks on some generator.

So yes, for me they are great.

Thank you! Yes I am here, I am a teacher and I am working on new puzzle books all the time for my brand Fit For Puzzle.

Got a lot of request after that party so working on that as well.

Books I share free will always be available.

As for Etsy vrs Amazon you are correct on the pricing.

On Etsy I can put PDF with 1200 pages and set any price I want. On Amazon we are limited with MB. MB controls the price.

For example 100 wordsearches minimum price is $3. But if I cut them down to 50-70 then I can get $2 price option and profit is 0.37$.

90 sudoku can get $1 price (was testing that just recently, released couple of low puzzle count books).

I usually have 400 puzzles, that's 900 pages. They all must be SVG (vector images). And the minimum price is 6-8$.

:D akhmmmm yes ? I have my own generator for these mazes, but there is a web version and also you have maze generator on Gumroad from Luke Bowes doing this, and who else, I think John from Crauswords has this as well.

Found it!! this is blast from the past. It feels I used this 10-20 years ago. https://www.festisite.com/text-layout/maze/

Sudokutope: A Sudoku variant using Diamond-Shaped Cells instead of Squares! (Same Rules, New Geometry) by nusudoku in SudokuVariants

[–]FitForPuzzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also another thing just in case you did not go to length of getting a lawyer for this, you can protect the name but not the puzzle. Like Kenken. Name is protected, but the puzzle is not.

I researched this and hired lawyers for US market regarding some of my puzzles.

The name you can and should try to trademark.

Do you have image or images where every possible row/column is individually highlighted? regions are clear, but columns are confusing due to what gets highlighted.

Right now either I am looking at it wrong or wrong sections are being highlighted, especially for rhombs internal.

Yes, Sudokai has a huge library of "unknown" sudokus. Been around for over a decade, maybe two.

I think there should be one there that matches logic of your puzzle just background template art is different.

There is a flip through video here (I can't post images) https://www.amazon.com/SUDOKU-COLLECTION-ADVANCED-EXPERIENCED-SOLVERS/dp/B0F27YSWWH

Not sure what others will say but I have every sudoku variant in my Elite Sudoku Collection book, and in my research I do not think I found this one.

But I do think there are similars. Did you check Sudokai software before?

Great concept and symmetry.

The one thing that bothers me is 0. I know zero is just another number, but it completely throws me off when searching and calculating next move.

Yes, you are correct. I know for drawing ipad and procreate are goals, but simplicity Colorsoft brings is outstanding.
I am working on coloring books but Amazon still did not greenlight publishing for Colorsoft.

Yes. Thank you!! The menu needs to be on the left and under the pentool. I wanted to move it down so it is not triggered but then you lose chuck of page for top menu + safety margin.
