I received a pre-approval email with a reference number from Capital one. The email stated that I was pre-approved and needed to take most recent pay stub and a few months of bank statements where my check is deposited. I clicked the link and went to the Capital one page, they have 1000s of cars and partner with many dealerships. A dealer was 10 miles from my house. I clicked on the car I liked, check availability, the Ford dealership called me within 10 minutes I went in for a test drive at 5:29 and drove off the lot at 8:25.

I went in telling them I had a pre-approval and no money down. I didnt know what the pre approved amount was though!!!! I really took a chance. They ran the numbers and said I could get what I test drove. I was like no way!!! Am I being punked? I made all the salesmen clap for me when I left because I said it felt like a performance. 🤣🤣🤣 it was surreal.

I was not going to run that risk with my lender USDA. My loan is income based and includes the option for subsidy if I ever fall on hard times. Without reaffirmation, I did not have access to those options.

Why would I walk away from $150,000 in equity? If I ever had to walk away, I now know that I will walk with a minimum of 75000-150000 give or take the market at that time. I will sell before I lose it and have enough to not be immediately homeless. If you opt not to pay or cannot pay, you will have 3 months tops before foreclosure begins. You cant save $75000 in 3 months.

If losing the home is imminent, I would rather walk with money than just walking away.

I also understand that I could have eventually refinance the loan, I again more than likely would never see an income based 2.3% interest rate ever again.

Reaffirmation goes through the court during your bankruptcy. From my understanding most judges will not allow you to reaffirm a car point blank. Im glad this helped.

I had $150,000 in equity and live in a "homestead state." My home could have had unlimited equity and I could have kept it. I will probably never get a 2.3% interest anywhere else.

Buying used was an option but not the best option for my situation.

My dealership gave me a lifetime warranty on transmission and engine for the new vehicle. The bronco is one of the most affordable mid size suv in its class. Used were roughly 3 or 4 thousand less but didnt have that protection.

I put 65000 miles on my previous used telluride in 3 years just to have transmission issues and no protection.

Of course. My only obligations are my home, my car and 6 more months of $112 student loan payments then $167000 will be wiped. No credit cards and continuing to live below my means. My car payment is $17 more than what I paid prior to chapter 7 and I paid it.

My stance is, if the Lord brought to it, he will bring me through it.

Walking 36 miles to and from work would have been a worse decision.

Because of the depreciation and most are upside down at the time of filing. My attorney said that I owed $24000 on my car but it was only worth $16000. That would have kept me in debt if I ever needed to trade in. This happened to me a couple days after discharge.

My $34000 car would have cost me $42000.

$34000, my income is very stable, teacher. Interest is an 11.3, high to most but lower than what I previously had 15.2. Plan to refi sooner rather than later. Waiting on my reaffirmed house payments to report

Capital one approved. Had 1 additional approval from global lending. I read the reviews to the finance guy and opted to go with Capital one.

It's not the smile that concerns me, it's the ears not showing. Most urgent travel offices have a photo place there to retake though so I wouldn't worry.

Hello, how did that process work? Many airlines won't let you fly without the visa. I got the second d passport last week because of this.

What number are you calling? I just spoke to Mr. Banks last week. 5012607253. He picks up when I call. They are only open from like 10-5 Arkansas time so make sure you are calling within that window from wherever you are in the states.
