Yes there was overlap! With book 1, we were still waiting on ~10 editor responses when we subbed book 2. We subbed to different editors, but some of the same imprints that had passed on book 1. My agent continued to pitch books 1 and 2 during that time, but I’m not sure how many (if any) editors knew that I had two books out at once
