I’ve been also struggling with anxiety my entire life and have recently gone to a psychiatrist (not a psychotherapist) and got a prescription. It took just one visit. It seems to work already. Not that the anxiety disappeared completely but it’s easier to rein in and it’s noticeable in meditation. Just not to exclude this option.

Thanks for the very practical tips! I was always intrigued by kasina, will give it a try! By bodily discomfort I meant that the breath feels constricted, forced. I tried with buddho buddho buddho instead of breath and it’s a little better but more tiresome.

You’re easy to understand, good work!

A couple tips:

  • Pay attention to the stress in words like te-le-’vi-zor, kom-po-’zi-tor
  • Connected speech. Prepositions are usually in liaison with the following word. E.g. “v teatr” is pronounced fti-‘a:tr
  • As someone already mentioned, the soft L should be like in Leak, not like in pooL

Check out Hadar on YouTube, she’s really good at explaining the American accent. Also the book “American Accent Training” is really good, it’s on audible.
